I think that Mattus might be one of those so-called "Academics".

Not the ones into furry creatures, the other ones. Plants, science and stuff.

Have known a few of those, including Emeritus Profs (parents of friends). Odd lot, wear sandles and beards. Vote Greens.

Three national polls released since Sunday all show movement against Labor, with Monday’s Newspoll the most negative – it produced a two-party-preferred poll of Labor on 46 per cent to the Coalition’s commanding 54 per cent. A Roy Morgan poll (released Monday) and a Galaxy poll (released Sunday) both found Labor had 48 per cent of the two-party preferred vote.
Libs 54 - 46 Lab
The simple-weighted average of all four polls puts the Coalition’s two-party-preferred polling at 52 per cent and translates into a likely victory for it, with only the magnitude of the win in question. To put that in context, former prime minister Julia Gillard won 38 per cent of the vote in 2010 and was forced to negotiate to form a minority government.
Does not look good for labor.
The betting markets’ implied chance of a Labor victory fell from 14 per cent on Friday to 13 per cent on Monday, according to the averaged Sportsbet, Sportingbet and Betfair odds.

That means the betting markets now think there is an 87 per cent chance that Mr Abbott will become the new prime minister at this election.

An analysis of electorate-level betting odds last week found that the Coalition was on track to win 22 more seats than Labor.

It's called denial nef... he looks good in it... well, for a rusted-on anyway. :du

You gotta wonder about Ruddy and his staff...
Campaigning in Brisbane, the Prime Minister made several gaffes at a rally but also received a rockstar reception
yes you guessed it....
...from local school girls.
What is it with Kev and young school aged kids... hmmmm... where's IQS when you need him?

Another day another pic of Kevvy at a school.

I must say, I find it a bit odd.
By the time Mr Rudd took to the stage, the crowd was in his hand, and smilingly forgave his blunder, when he said that his team was in town to make sure "that this school, which has been here for 16 years, is here for 60 years!" Oblivious to supporters in the crowd shouting that the school actually turned 60 next year, he carried on.
Way to go Kevvy :b

Just watched Milne in a Green ad.
Clean air!
Clean water!
Clean soil!
She says then rattles off a handful of Green policies that have nothing to do with anything environmental.... :rofl
