Re: ETS and retarded views
Let me get this straight. You don't reject pricing mechanisms, but you do reject the economic consensus on them?
The large emitters have already adopted trading schemes. I just wasn't prepared to track down which ones for you. Whatever internal mechanisms other nations choose to reduce their emissions is no reason for us to use inferior mechanisms.
Kyoto itself is an ETS, which almost all industrialised countries (except the US) have ratified.

Re: ETS and retarded views
The "No" answer was purely just to reject your already answered question- I have already explained to you that I don't reject the pricing mechanisms. I reject adopting them unilaterally.Let me get this straight. You don't reject pricing mechanisms, but you do reject the economic consensus on them?
I know you have the habit of asking the same question a few different ways until you get the answer you desire but please...
Who are the the three largest emitters on the planet today- by country, not per capita that have adopted ETS?The large emitters have already adopted trading schemes.
Because you know they haven'tI just wasn't prepared to track down which ones for you.
There's no reason to choose more economically expensive mechanisms- they won't have an impact on the environment anywayWhatever internal mechanisms other nations choose to reduce their emissions is no reason for us to use inferior mechanisms.

Re: ETS and retarded views
So what is the answer?
Simply accusing someone of lying because they won't tell you what you want to hear is a pretty childish approach. I wasn't lying. Nor was I being 'loose' with my language, like you saying an ETS is the worst possible option, when you really meant it was the best option except for doing nothing.
By 'going it alone' you seem to be referring to an ETS, not reducing emissions. So does this mean you are opposed to going it alone in choosing the smartest solution and think we should follow the lead of other countries in selecting inferior options?

I'm not prepared to track them down for youSo what is the answer?
Accuse you of lying? You either can't or purposely ignore a lot of questions, but I have never accused you of lying. Maybe if you improved your obfuscation a little more then it wouldn't be so obvious?Simply accusing someone of lying because they won't tell you what you want to hear is a pretty childish approach.

What constitutes a superior option when your economist consensus equals ETS rather than a carbon tax shift- are they wrong or right?

You said you already know the answer. So what is it? I'm just asking you for the answer you claim to already know.
Accuse you of lying? You either can't or purposely ignore a lot of questions, but I have never accused you of lying.
Well, I said I have no idea which countries have an ETS. You claimed that rather than not being prepared to track them down for you, I already knew the answer. Perhaps this is just you being 'loose' with your language again.
What constitutes a superior option when your economist consensus equals ETS rather than a carbon tax shift- are they wrong or right?
The economic consensus is in favour of pricing mechanisms. That includes both an ETS and a carbon tax.
Which countries have chosen what options?
Well, plenty have built large wind farms for example.

I do know the answer. I am waiting for you to list them after you stated this-You said you already know the answer. So what is it? I'm just asking you for the answer you claim to already know.
...or did you just make up that statement? The large emitters have already adopted trading schemes.

OK then, here's one:

So explain again why you think we are going it alone?
