Good pick on the last 2 names.. However I can never hear Charlotte without thinking "Charlotte the harlot".... sorry. So I don't like the name.



The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge honoured two of the most significant women in William’s life when they named their daughter Charlotte Elizabeth Diana.

The baby will be known as Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge.

Royal aides refused to shed any light on the choice of names, saying only: “We’ll let the names speak for themselves.”

In calling their daughter Charlotte, the couple have chosen a name of queens and princesses, as well as a feminised version of the name of the baby’s grandfather Charles.

More significantly, in giving her Diana as a third name, William paid tribute to the mother who is never far from his thoughts.

By calling her Elizabeth he also recognised his grandmother, who as well as being a formative influence in William’s life is set in September to become Britain’s longest-serving monarch when she overtakes the record set by Queen Victoria.
