Yes because its perfectly obvious that what this country needsto get out of its trouble, is to skip anyone with education and experience in a certain field such as economics or climate change, and instead rely on an uneducated fish-and-chip shop owner to steer the course.
Are you aware you just used 'climate change' and 'economics' in the same sentence?

I believe this is called an oxymoron.

you'll probably find some loony rightard group is paying the fee for her.Have you donated, mel?

No, but I might.

I don't have much, but i'll do my best to help.

Think of it as equilibrium, ... someone had to, and I think in light of public opinion, coupled with how much NSW hate their FAKE Yanky premier, she might do better than you think.

She shocked us last time, she'll do it again.

And why?

Because deep within the hearts of every Australian, be they Arab, Greek or Chinese, there's an inherent desire to keep Australia beautiful and make sure there's enough left to pass on to their own off-spring.

I kid you not Skip when I tell you, my GP is an Australianised Muslim, and she's gravely concerned about Telehealth and a number of changes to rural health services.

You know what she said to me?

She said, she completed her degree here in Australia, this and said if something doesn't change soon, she'll be sending her little brother (who wants to study medicine) he's only 17 overseas to get his degree, and not because she feels he wont be offered a place here in Australia, but because she like anyone who's been to uni in the last 12 years has observed the standard dropping, the scaling of exams, in order to accommodate those who come here to learn English and study at the same time. They can only fail a certain percent, so if everyone is lousy, they have to scale them regardless.

I noticed this when I was going through (same uni, USYD ), though I studied on two campuses, and when we amalgamated half way through our course to main campus, my jaw hit the floor we had so many international students, 300+ in one year, compared to Cumberland campuses mere 120 odd, It was like we didn't even have to try anymore, just the fact that it was legible was a credit in itself.

Cumberland campus was very different, the standard was incredibly high, not good :? We should be getting better, not lowering our standard.

That was when Howard was in, so I dread to think what it's like now....

IME, its as much about the drop in high school education as it is about international students.

Most immigrants come here for a better way of life, (my grandmother did) to be able to give their kids the life, opportunities they could only dream of when they were growing up, not to have immigrated here worked their guts out paid their taxes, and watch us regress to what they left behind a couple of decades ago.

Hanson is not racist, she's protectionist and right now, we really need someone who will balance out the Green senate come July 1.

They have gone too far!

Youth unemployment is back to where it was when Keating lost the 1996 election 19%...under Howard, it was 11%

Since you're supposedly a damn nurse, you are aware that the students do go out on practice before they get accredited?
