Re: What's happening for you all today?
Not much in my day. Just a bit of writing work. Visiting a couple of people. Tea and biscuits sort of thing.
Do some reading up on work related stuff, just in case it's needed. Do clothes washing and hang to dry. Ruffled through a number of my tool boxes to find that I couldn't find what I was looking for.
Having quit the dishy stint for Saturdays. I have whole weekend now. Listening to the waves at night, when sleeping with window open. I might go and enjoy some long lazy time on one of the beaches around here. I must remember to wear those airforce sunglasses that are mirror reflective on the outside for perving and are reflective on the inside as well, so I can admire myself too.

Careful, you might get arrested for being overly pervy by a police officer more concerned with social behaviour than actual crime and justice.

No more babies for me J, my youngest would be devastated, she considers herself as "My" baby of our family, and can be quite jelous at times, when she sees me interacting with my grandaughter, who is the actual baby of our family. Not happy Jan,Jasin wrote: ↑Fri Nov 29, 2024 4:19 pmOnya Mellie! That's the spirit. As long as you don't let 'busy' be an excuse for stressing out.
I knew your youngest would ditch the bunk bed in the night. The youngest are always the Mother's Child, as they say.
I'm sure you'll have fun camping too. Might be crazy fun though.
2 years in one's system is indeed a long time, especially when it compromises other things... like you making another baby. Lol
But they truly adore eachother, and she fiercely defends her in every situation, even at school. Only 4 years appart, they'll be best friends, as I'm best friends with my aunty who's only 5 years older than me.
My youngest is definitely my baby, and yes, I can't help but spoil her, though she's a lovely and greatful child which makes wanting to do so very very enjoyable. Of course I weaken.
Starting grade 6 at her new school next year, our local and humble Christian College and I believe next year will serve as a transitional year for her to make this transition between primary and secondary school much easier for her.
It's a big deal for all kids transitioning from primary to secondary, which is why I'm an advocate for prep to 12 colleges.
🥲... She is so tiny, looks 8. She is my baby and of course I'm going to have to adjust to this.
Speaking of baby, I'd better get ready to pick her up from dance. Apparently teachers not happy with troupes jazz routine for Christmas concert so they've all had to stay back after acro and practise for 2 hours. She loves it tho adores dancing.
She's a bright student, academically outstanding, so I want her to focus more on studying next year, our local public school doesn't even give homework, she actually asked her teacher for homework lol...
Well, she needn't worry, plenty next year at her Christian college, they are very strict on this and even have after school study clubs which go until 6pm for juniors and 8pm for seniors.
Study hygiene is important, and she can continue her dancing, so long as she continues being a fantastic student.
I'm firm but fair...but education comes first!!

I'm pretty tough J, not much stresses me, and I have learnt to be very resilient, so to prevent RA flairs. Had to.
Currently not so legally parked ( borderline) out front of dance school, it's pouring rain, I'm sure police officers have better things to do than book a mum who's never been booked for anything in her life. Ballarat police are pretty relaxed. Too relaxed some might argue.

Good morning everyone, mellie gets a bit of a rest day today, ( no church) concert rehearsals from 945 to 2.40pm.
It's just she does so many dance styles so she needs to be there all day, each style + troupes has their own concert dance. It's like a school day, pack lunch but that's it. Yay!
Glad we don't have to do make-up thismorning.
I would love someone to make me a cup of stroooong tea please, 2 sugars, milk, thanks.
When my daughter’s old enough, she can pay it forward in cups of tea.

There's a Cicada boom this year and they're very loud. It's great to hear them.

Cool rainy day yesterday. Looks like warm day today. Got house inspection Tuesday, so got to tidy up a bit.

Busy Sunday morning here for moiye!
Selling car parts from market place…
Seems weekends are better for many tradies as they work weekdays. For instance… yesterday morning hubby goes to brake place for a part he needs but it’s closed!
Then goes to a smash repairer for a quote for car repair and it’s closed too!
It’s mainly Saterday most workers can go to do their purchases etc but looks like needing to taking time off during week for it instead.
Now hopefully rest of day quieter for me…
But it’s only 12.30 pm so who knows
Weather is mild here today with a lovely clear breeze.
Time for laundry.

Yeah haven’t heard them for ages!Black Orchid wrote: ↑Sun Dec 01, 2024 8:00 amThere's a Cicada boom this year and they're very loud. It's great to hear them.
Same with Bellbirds… when we first shifted here 32 years ago, we could heard them “pinnnng”
Amazing… now there’s nothing… where have they gone?
And flies…. Annoying as they are… but not much I recall if their presence as many years ago.
