The artist courted controversy and he got it. He's not a local and most of the locals I've spoken to didn't want it there.
The village has spoken.

Well I wouldn't want it there either. It's some Canberra nobody's political statement on a Sydney beach. Good riddance.

It's just so out of place compared to the rest of the artwork. It was actually a brilliantly painted piece but sorry, wrong piece wrong place.
BTW, when I took that photo, a second later a family of muzzos walked past, one in a fully burka. So the message itself is total BS.

The artist behind a controversial mural in Bondi, in Sydney’s east, has responded to claims the art is offensive.
The taxpayer-funded mural on the Bondi beach seawall depicts 24 Australian Border Force officers with the phrase saying ‘not welcome to Bondi’.
Artist Luke Cornish, who’s twice been nominated for the Archibald Prize, has said the reaction to the mural has been “polarising”.
“On the positive side, its raising awareness for an incredibly important issue. On the negative, it’s a lot of people who don’t want to hear about it,” Cornish told 7NEWS.
“They see the mural as confronting and I get that.
“That’s the whole point. It is confronting. We need to be having these conversations.”
But the 39-year-old is unapologetic for his comment on Australia’s border protection system.

Bizarre! What is wrong with Waverley Council?
When I first saw it I thought it was graffiti aimed at keeping the Muslims away.

It wouldn't work very well. More than once in summer I've seen a muzzo family with all the men walking around in shorts, shirt off, thongs and women trailing behind wearing a black tent.
