At least he did what he assumed to be the right thing and resigned.

Good to see a polly with a bit of integrity for a change.

Some commentators are saying he shouldn't resign over such a trivial matter.
But he campaigned on probity and would be just another hypocrite in parliament if he stayed in office.

Don't know about others, but he's won respect in my view for admitting he stuffed up and remedying it with resignation.

He was going to walk slowly out of office, but they threw him out on the weekend. Mr accountable is as cunning as they come!
