A priest who hears confessions from a confessor, who repeatedly confesses to the same crime (which severely impacts innocents), and shows no willingness to change their behaviour or show a real commitment towards contrition, should not be forced to respect some insane, one sided "sanctity of the confessional".

Forgiveness, for free? Surely, in any sane system, there needs to be a credible commitment to change?
