I wish I knew what SN is gibbering on about, real life experience here and Korea etc shows people think they need the fastest speeds. I guess irrelevance is looking him in the face, as anybody can start creating and uploading content and sharing it with the world, who needs SN then?
When you create Giga byte files for upload I will listen to your argument. A couple of megs or even a 100Mb take SFA time to download and if symmetrical as you claim will take sfa to upload as well.
I can create content now and upload it. What to stop you. You have an operating system that can handle more than one thing at once you know. Submit an upload, go browse on your blog and before you know it, it is uploaded. I would like a Ferrari but need to settle for a holden. Wants and needs are different.

Not on a mass scale such as this. The ALP couldn't co-ordinate something as simple as pink batts into ceilings without electrocuting people, burning houses down and spending billions to fix their fuck ups.
No one trusts this govt to be able to NOT fuck up anything they touch

Monk..... please explain.
The whole argument I have presented was ROI and poor value for money.
A billion Chinese to get an NBN for a third of the cost of ours

IT may be a little slower but China's national broadband network will reach 10 times more households than Labor's rollout at less than one-third the price.
During the next three years, Beijing plans to replace the existing copper wire network that serves the nation's 150 million households with internet access with a fibre-to-the-home broadband network - the same technology used by Labor's National Broadband Network.

See SN, your idiotic views are rejected everywhere!
Re comparative rates—geez, you claim to be IT savvy, look up population densities and costs per 1000 final premises rolled out. Are you stupid? Have you been lying about IT experience? I think you have, just like poor old roach.

Monk, that is slander. You call me a liar with no basic in fact. Please correct this outrage or I will...... probably do nothing since I can defend myself and don't need to run to mummy when someone calls me a name.
The value for money argument you ignore.

#Fraudband, if it was a serious proposal not some cynical semi–plausible lie to get the Libs across the line 14/9, would create ghettos of broadband have nots:
http://sortius-is-a-geek.com/?p=3076
A real NBN would help promote the new high–tech, high–value (as well as boosting eEducation, eHealth etc) goods and services that we need to survive in the future as iron ore and coal have lost much of their value. Pity the Libs are so backward looking, they would be a disaster way beyond the recession they will trigger.
