That's OK Arsie .. I'm well aware that veg nazis and vegan fundamentalists abhor the idea of someone going into the bush and getting their own meat, and won't be satisfied til all feral animals obtain protected species status, so that more paddocks can be ripped up, more creek banks destroyed, and more diseases spread over greater areas.

If/when the animal rights veg nazis get their way, it won't be safe for them to walk in the bush. Because if the pigs or dogs/dingos don't get them, a cranky pig hunter like me probably will.

Meanwhile the snakes are still at play.

Had a 4' long Taipan (chocolate brown with silver belly) have a go at me last week.
Walking on a track up a hill when I spotted him close. When I spotted it, it spotted me and came straight at me.
I jumped what I thought was backwards, but wound up doing a 180 around it, carrying a machete and a bucket of water.
When I landed on its opposite side it kept going ... too fast for me to strike with machete, and I had ripped the plugs out of both thongs.

Yesterday I nearly walked into a fat 4' long Red belly Black.

This is one of the land marks in my valley, which I want/intend to climb.
Apparently there's Black fella stuff up there, and lots of snakes along the way.
When I do eventually find the way up I'll take some photos.

Apparently the schizo about 10km up the road has been talking poo about me.
[Wonder why schizos are always cowardly liars?]
He supposedly has 8000 acres, and is known to grow huge quantities of weed.
Recently he got pulled over for a breath test and got busted with 3 kilo of bush weed,
plus assault police, urinating in public ect ect and has been held in remand since.

Word was there's still a crop in there, not getting watered in week after week of heat wave.
I figured it's of no use to him in gaol/jail and is just going to die anyway, so went on
an exploratory tour.

I hid the truck near a National park and walked overland through the bush.
Took 3 hours to find his camp.

Got lost twice, once on the way in, and again on the way out.
So wound up walking 25-30km in 10 & 1/2 hours in Volley bowling shoes
and earnt 3 blisters on each foot for my effort.

I never found the dope, and have since been told 8 car loads of Jacks
took several trailer loads out. Bugga!

Seems PA voyeurs like snake pics the most, so probably the best pics on that adventure are ...

Don't know about pygmies.
That mountain has a boundary going through it, one side state forest,
and the other 8000 acres owned by a dope growing schizo who on remand in gaol/jail.
So actually it's the Drug Squad I've got to watch out for.
The valley is crawling with Jacks. The Drug squad is flat out taking everyone's guns,
and the Stock Squad is nailing pig hunters doing a bit of poaching (hunting without property owners permission).
They're using the same sort of cameras I do, to get number plates, then sending fines through the post.
