Many of those who deny climate change claim to have their own climate models. However, Steve Easterbrook, a computer science professor at the University of Toronto, who has studied climate change models, begs to differ.

“None of the climate skeptics have climate models,” said Easterbrook. “Certainly not sophisticated simulations of the physics of the atmosphere and oceans, which is what goes into a climate model… They might use a statistical model where essentially they take some data and they look for trend lines on it.”

Easterbrook also said that climate models used by the IPCC are run on supercomputers that skeptics don’t have access to.

If climate is so complex that the MODELS are all wrong; either due to deliberate or accidental means, why would you expect "deniers" who have from day 1, denounced them as GIGO to have any or make claims based on any?

They examined a cult that was Anthropgenic global warming. The cultists convinced followers to increase their energy costs to make more expensive, less reliable and more environmentally unfriendly energy competitive because if they didnt, the globe would heat up and we would all die screaming in fires, heat waves, massive tsunamis, and every other wild devastation they could remotely think of and associated it with AGW. There would be no survivors. Only if we acted immediately could we be saved, as there was only a short time until "the tipping point" was reached

When it came and went, and the Earth carried on as before, the group did not despair. They said the heat was hiding in the oceans. The followers believed it and shouted it from the rooftops. NASA came along and said it wasn't the case. It didnt matter to the warmists. They had given up so much for their faith that they would deny anything rather than admit their theory was wrong and expensive, unreliable energy was pointless.

Climate change fanatics are as committed. Their denial fits perfectly with their support for state intervention and handing money to the government which matched the politics of all those latte-slurping, quinoa-munching liberals, with their arrogant manners and dainty hybrid cars, who presume to tell honest men and women how to live. If they admitted they were wrong on climate change, they might have to admit that they were wrong on everything else and their whole political identity would unravel.

There are two other facts to keep in mind. One is that rising temperatures in the ocean are in the deep ocean, not on the surface. So a surface temperature measure does not reflect actual warming in the oceans. And two, climate is a chaotic system. We will see jumps and dips and pauses all the time, on the scale of a few years. But when you look at the trends decade by decade, you can still see an obvious trend upward in global temperatures.

Global temperatures haven't gone up in the last few years. Does that mean climate change isn't happening? No. In this video, York University chemist Kevin Cowtan explains very carefully how he and his colleague discovered that the "pause" is a fiction, the result of bad data and bad statistical reasoning.

Climate change deniers have jumped on a batch of incomplete, poorly-analyzed climate data which suggests the planet's warming trend is "on pause." If there's a pause, they argue, perhaps predictions of climate change are wrong. Unfortunately for the future of our planet, the pause only exists if you ignore a lot of temperature data.

Been over this a bazillion times... the Temp network was flawed, records have been only kept for a very short period, the trend during the ongoing pause is downwards. Etc, etc, etc....

Change of approach.

Since the last Ice Age ended, humanity has come along in leaps on a planet where the weather has permitted most of the planet to be habitable and can sustain a large human population. The current climate is obviously perfect for us and we have now established populations, farming and a symbiotic relationship with the land and the current environment climate.

Do you think it would be in our economic or social interest for this environment, that has been relatively stable and has allowed us to thrive, to be allowed to change due to our own activity?
