No I wouldn't have, but the fact you are does tend to colour what you say.

Honest I agree with. Loyal too. So loyal he verges on stupid.

None of us on this Forum or over -----> or anywhere, actually "know" Tony Abbott .... we only KNOW what the media says. I have never had a conversation with Tony Abbott, I have never gone out of my way to "meet" a politician or a "celeb". I honestly can not pass judgement on someone I have never met .... unless it is our "aussie". Even then, I don't "hate" him, I just consider him an ineffectual prick and not worth knowing. :hush

You are correct and I do not KNOW Tony Abbott, but I have the right to an opinion don't I??

It's got NOTHING to do with what the media says. We can all watch his mannerisms when he talks and we can listen to what HE has to say. Don't you ever see pollies talking on your FOXTEL rather than just depending on the media? You don't have to meet them to form an opinion.

As for going out your way to meet celebs or pollies well all I can do is *shrug*

No offence but you really come out with some off the wall retorts at times.

No, I don't watch the News on Foxtel or anywhere else. I only read bits on the ABC, News.com and the Canberra Times .... online.

I have only seen Abbott speak a couple of times and he doesn't impress me. No politician does. I didn't even "like" Howard and I certainly couldn't cope with Rudd or Gillard. Why am I here on PA? No idea, maybe I just like to argue.

I'm not sure changing leaders will save the coalition now. The question should be how did a government with such a huge majority lose to the worst Labor leader in history?
It wasn't because Labor reinvented themselves and became competent all of a sudden. If,or as I expect, when Labor win the next election making this the first ones term government in eighty years it will be because of this governments blindness to reality and arogance that they could ignore the people that put them in there to begin with.
The funny thing, Or sad in the country's case,is in four years from now whoever is leading the liberal party will be a shoe in for the lodge for many of the same reasons we see now.
I've expected a revolving turnstile since Rudds leadership collapsed the first time and nothing I see has changed my mind.
Until we get a leader from either side with vision and balls, diplomacy and intelligence we are doomed to mediocracy,at best.

If the ALP win the next election, Australia won't be worth governing in 4 years time.
The debt and deficit will skyrocket and we will end up on the socialist built highway to Greece.

New Zealand is starting to look like a nice destination.
They have less retards than Australia.

NZ is starting to look better than OZ. I wouldnt be surprised to see a lot of kiwis return to NZ as it looks like it's on a road to prosperity we could only dream of here. I think it's just better governed.

The Kiwis are here because of their careers/work. I have friends who live near Christchurch and their daughter lives in Brisbane, because of her career (teaching I think), they visit Australia regularly to stay with her but will never move here. I also have Kiwi friends on the Gold Coast who have lived here for many years. I doubt any of them would go back "home". My overseas friends (from Japan, Scotland, Singapore and the USA) have all had holidays in Australia and New Zealand but seem to prefer to return to holiday in NZ rather than Oz. I have never been to NZ but I get a touch annoyed when friends say they prefer it to Australia for holidays, at least.

Oh, and NZ is thinking about changing their Flag.

Apart from Sprintcyclist, are there any other Kiwis on these Forums?

It's a shame that NZ will more than likely sink to the depths of the ocean eventually though.
