Extremist Seventh day adventurism? Off-shoot cult?

-Sheol, Abaddon and the Soul-...the Chaimberlains had visited fertility cave at Uluru ..
Lindy, cradling Azaria in her arms, explored a formation called Fertility Cave prior to her disappearance.

Some of this is a worthwhile read...
On their holiday, the Chamberlain family had already visited such places as the Devil's Marbles near Alice Springs and a place called Cut Throat Cave as well as the Fertility Cave at the base of Ayers Rock. According to journalists, it was once reserved for Aboriginal women 'to use as [a] midwifery clinic for their natural childbirth' (Simmonds, 1982:3) and to perform their 'sacred rights in order to bear children' (Sun, November 1,1982). Now the cave had added significance as the place where Azaria's clothes had been found, complete with cut marks alleged by experts to have been made by scissors.

It seams, much was withheld from the prosecution team, this article is a well worth read.

Reports questioning whether the baby was in fact Azaria were backed up by the opinions of two senior pediatricians
who believe the child in the photo to be between a three-to-five month old rather than Azaria, only nine weeks old. This opinion was based on the appearance of the child, her weight, expression and ability to support herself. (10 Aust. J. Cultural Studies, and Perth Daily News, March2,1984).Azaria did not die here because she has never been. As the young Conservation Commission Officer stationed in the Yulara Visitors' Centre said when questioned about the matter: Azaria who?'

Uluru was in the transition phase of being handed over to our traditional landowners at the time of Azarias disappearance.

Now, we aren't talking about the sentiments of some internet conspiracy theorist here, Dianne Johnson works in the Anthropology Department at the Sydney University.

And a number of academics agree with her.

What do I think happened?

Not sure, though I have to say there's more to this than meets the eye at first glance.

It's almost as if Lindy intentionally played the role of the persecuted witch, knowing she'd be condemned by the media and courts ...and later compensated. Note the emphasis placed on our deemed misogynist press and legal system.

Perhaps another Picnic at hanging rock?

The National Library of Australia has a small collection of items relating to Azaria, such as the birth detail record for Azaria Chamberlain and her hospital identification bracelet, as well as a manuscript collection that includes some 20,000 documents, including some of the Chamberlain family's correspondence as well as a large number of letters from the general public.
On 17 December 2011, a spokesman for the Department of Justice in Australia's Northern Territory announced that a fourth inquest into the incident was to be begin. No explanation for the action has been given-Wiki

Azaria Chantel Loren Chamberlain (1980-1980), missing infant, was born on 11 June 1980 at Mount Isa, Queensland, third of four children of New Zealand-born parents Michael Leigh Chamberlain, Seventh Day Adventist pastor, and his wife Alice Lynne (Lindy), née Murchison.
Uh, oh... another née.

Would you sell your deceased infants hospital bracelet and birth documents, along with a large range of other cherished possessions to a museum?

The whole trilogy smacks of BS.

America pulled off a moon landing, and we got stuck with this morbid muck. Bugger! :roll

On feminism and faith...

Feminist Ellen G. White was instrumental to the founding of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and is officially considered a prophet by Seventh-day Adventists.

I was born a few years before 'Azaria' and my hospital bracelet yields so much more information than hers, ie, Name, date, weight, time of birth , Dr's full name, and a patient reference number.

Just one last thing...
Azaria (עֲזַרְיָה), or Azarya is a moshav in central Israel. Located in the Shephelah around five kilometres south-east of Ramle, it falls under the jurisdiction of Gezer Regional Council. In 2006 it had a population of 815.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Azaria
Also...Ellen G White's maiden name, Harmon, is a Jewish name

Who rules the Australian media again?

I've got no idea... but even that's better than your attempts, so far, Bartholomew.

At the end of the day, this case is as illusive today as it was 31 years ago...and ranks up there with Ned Kelly, Picnic at hanging rock, and assorted other urban legends bursting from our most respected treasury of national archives ...complete with museum exhibit.

This academic was more or less told to put a sock in it after she wrote this piece.

:thumb

Now, do the Chamberlains want a 'genuine' inquest (re-visit of all museum artefacts they sold ) or not, or are they just keeping the urbane legend alive?

Look, for a modest $24 Boxy, you can view the Azaria exhibit at.....just know, more than half of it is off limits to the general public these days.

Ironically, you may still view the bloodied jumpsuit...just not the supporting documentation/artefacts etc.
