All three devices are produced almost exclusively nowadays in the PRC.

When you have actual experience of Chinese manufacture, get back to us, OK? I have worked in Engineering and IT sectors over the decades. There is a clear difference between the two.

No smart phone.
I'm using a lap top now.
My now out of date tower has been sitting in a plastic tub in the back of an unused panel van on my block since 2010, and it was old hat even back then.

More smart phones are made in South Korea than China.
Except for ZTE and Huwawii nearly everything electronic manufactured in China is by non Chinese companies, who's technology the Chinese appropriate and make crappy knock offs of.

When Bob Hawke cried because tanks ran over protestors in Tiananmen square and Bob said the 10,000 (now reputedly 40,000) Chinese students in Oz can stay here, hudreds of them streamed through one of my father's factories/businesses asking for a job.
He gave one with a degree as a fitter and turner from a Chinese uni (not trade college as expected) a trial run ... he was too slow.
He gave 2 others jobs as process workers. No matter how many times I set up a machine for them (eg a guillotine for cutting sheet metal) they some how managed to phuk it up within 20 minutes without fail.
So I got them to pick up scrap/off-cuts from the circle cutters, put in a 3X3' cardboard box and dump in the scrap skip bin out the back.
I came back to find these blokes both carrying the one box together.
I said to my old man "These blokes are useless, it takes 2 of these characters to carry what one white girl can".

You BR claim to have worked in "Engineering and IT".
You have also claimed to have served in the Australian Army, yet are ignorant of what constitutes "Modern War".
To put it simply BR, you have no credibility so I don't believe a word you type.

You have no idea about Chinese engineering. What an ex-Chinese student did over 20 years ago is not the same as a Chinese worker may or may not do nowadays. China has had a booming economy now for over 20 years with GDP growth triple that of the Australian economy for the most part. You cannot achieve that without some effort.
