I actually voted for Hawke in the 1990? federal election. I am not sure why now as interest rates where ridiculously high. He must have touted something I supported BUT Keating knifed him and took over the top job and I absolutely detest Keating.

I have regretted it ever since 8-)

They need a complete overhaul. Steve Ciobo is leaving and I don't know jack about him anyway. Craig Laundry ditto.
Liberal party does need it, indeed. I was told that Morrison was a moderate, not a conservative, and if moderates are leaving .... good, maybe he is more conservative than moderate (or small l liberal? )
So you think Abbott and like thinkers is what the liberal voting public want?

Good luck with that!
Definitely NOT. I didn't care for Howard either and almost voted for Keating in 1996. But didn't as my dear old Mum would have come back to haunt me. :rofl
FFS my dear you dont vote what your mum says!

My mum was a catholic and voted DLP, but was finally swayed to vote for Bob Hawke as she liked him as a person!
Hawke was a Unionist. A cheat on his wife and a liar. Must be about time to have a State Funeral for the old "fluffy bunny". Like Whitless he will undoubted hang in there, and soak up the adoration. He was a creep!

NOPE, I never took any notice of what my dear old, departed, Mother said. It was a "figure of speech" you do know what that means, don't you?

There is absolutely NO WAY I would ever vote Labor. I won't vote Independent either.

Yeah he was an arsehole as it turned out!

I think at the time my old mum voted for him , he had a great reputation of coming in at the last minute when major strikes were on and mediating and solving the strikes! Which he was good at and he was well liked by the public.

Who is the Nazi Tassie person?
More than likely he is referring to Eric Abetz.
Abetz is a great-nephew of Otto Abetz, a Brigadier General in the SS, who was Nazi Germany's ambassador to Vichy France from 1940 to 1944[5] and was sentenced to 20 years for war crimes relating to the deportation of French Jews to the death camps.[6]
Nationalism is not to be confused with patriotism. - Eric Blair

Abbott has had his day and needs to step aside. What we need is to get rid of the 'progressives' from both major parties. Shorten included.
So just to get it clear in my mind what do you call a progressive in each party's case

As a leftie ALP member, I am not a Shorten fan but am stuck with him at this stage, I would have much preferred Albo as was voted by the majority of the other members of the ALP but that got overridden by the parliamentry members,
Those deviating too far into a socialist/marxist agenda, which has filtered into our schools, and are more interested in minority grievances than policy.

Perhaps you could suggest who those are in each party!

this will go down as the damning YEAR 2013

REPEATED in the YEAR 2019

as soons as they shafted krudd I said! they have created a very low bench mark....

never dreaming it would be repeated almost identically .....by the Liberals...

never in my wildest dreams did I think they would be so shallow as to follow almost step for step.....

so I wont be sorry to see some new faces... ones I hope with INTEGRITY and LOYALTY....
