some of the stories are horrible but many schoolies end up in a lot of trouble in Surfers.. its not unusual for them to end up in hospitals...
it must be an amazing money makers to encourage it thats all I can say..
and lets be honest the redneck that Bali encourage well wouldnt we rather they went there than where we plan to holiday?????..
a lot of rednecks from Darwin go there as its the cheapest place they can get too.....sounds like they are welcome to each other.
Well Cods,
I'd like you to go there as a Polanimal experiment.
You can report back your findings.
e.g.
did you get
Bali belly from the rotten food?

For seventeen-year-old Jasmine Baker schoolies was meant to be about celebrating the end of many years of hard work.
It was meant to be a week of friendships and laughter in the sun.
It was meant to be about partying, but also about being safe.
Nothing could have prepared her family for this.
On Friday night her holiday ended after the seventeen-year-old schoolie fell ill and was airlifted to Darwin.
She had been partying with her friends as seventeen year olds at schoolies do, and unknowingly drank a cocktail suspected to be spiked with methanol.
On ABC radio this morning her father Errol Baker said that Jasmine’s friends noticed she was acting strangely after drinking the cocktail and took her back to the hotel. They contacted the Australian organization Red Frogs, who help schoolies. They took her to the hospital.
The family of the dark haired high school student said she was poisoned at the popular Bounty Tavern Bar in Bali.
aaaahhhhhh, that was the alcohol poisoning I read about.

I didnt have any real issues with Bali although It is a bit of a dump to look at around Kuta although lots of restaurants with cheap food.
We used to have happy hour on Kuta beach Bitang beers were around $1.50 I think it was.
So a couple of hours of cheap beers and then off to a restaurant!

I have never been to Bali and have no desire to ever go there. I prefer to stay away from where the Bogans go for a cheap holiday.

What about it? I visited India in 1990. I was warned about Delhi Belly. I read the suggestion, "stay away from the street food..." I stayed away from the street food and didn't get Delhi Belly. I suspect if you stay away from the street food in Bali, you'll avoid Bali Belly.
