Your Honour, The ALP were handed a brand new, rare one-of-a-kind, gold plated Porsche 911 especially made for the AU market including a full tank.
6 years later it was repossessed by the public and found to be trashed and written off.
They blew the engine blown, smashed panels. It even looked like they defecated in the seat after a large amount of human faecal matter was discovered but it was just Wayne Swan who refused to leave the vehicle.

The vehicles initial value was set at $22Bn and was completely written off within 3 years.

Abbott & Co initially took possession of the vehicle and worked tirelessly to get the vehicle roadworthy but we're hampered by the parts supplier, Senate Vehicle Supply. Once the title had changed hands, the details of the lease and accounts could be seen.

Value of the vehicle at time of repossession was $0 (-$22Bn)
Taxpayers credit card account at the time of repossession was $290Bn.
Interest at the time was $1Bn per month.
On top of interest and lease payments were unpaid running and repair costs, unpaid fuel costs, unpaid insurance and the loss of income generated from the car due to ALP vandalism.
The defendant used the vehicle as collateral to open other credit card accounts that are tied to the original credit card in an effort to conceal the spending on other projects that had no cost/benefit analysis applied. These are still under construction and costs are on going and should be included in the damages bill.

The inclusive total to date is $500Bn and would have been much higher if the vehicle had remained in the hands of the defendant.
As the evidence shows, they entered into water tight long term contracts​ knowing that the vehicle was not capable.

Abbott & Co had completed most of the expensive repairs when they were subject to a hostile corporate takeover and absorbed by Turnbull & Co, who are now in possession of the vehicle and lease.
The rate of increase in the credit card debt has been reduced 506% compared with possession by the ALP who also had the benefit of the car from brand new.

It is hopeful that Turnbull & Co can return the vehicle to its former glory and earning potential but will be difficult with the debt load, non payments and interest repayments forced upon them, although his performance leaves many wondering if he actually has a licence or knows how to drive.
