I don't have neighbours like that but it seems to be the best way to get your neighbours to ignore you!

I don't get them because with poor mobile reception I tend to leave my phone off to save the battery, otherwise the phone's always searching for signal, which drains the battery.

When I lived in Bundy and had a (incoming calls only) land line, my trick for dealing with these characters was to say "Wait a minute, a pot's boiling over, back in a sec". Then leave them waiting while I go back to reading the paper or watching telly or whatever.
If Donald Trump is so close to the Ruskis, why couldn't he get Vladimir Putin to put novichok in Xi Jjinping's lipstick?
