Yes its a shame to see Bruce Jenner suffer from mental illness such as this and get no help from anyone. One has to wonder who has the bigger mental illness. A society that encourages mental illness and doesn't help or the beholder of mental illness such as Bruce. Genital mutilation should be outlawed for starters and good mental health institutions and counseling put in place to either help them or care for them. I don't think a society should be demanded it acknowledges mental health problems as being perfectly normal. No one should have to pretend to have a dumb intellect just to ignore the real problem and not offend the less intellectual and easily led of society.

Kaitlyn Jenner has probably found out that he got more respect as a male than as a transgender. He would have been treated like trash.

I worked with a "woman" once who had both a wife and a penis. Nothing much was really ever said about "her" but neither was it a secret. "She" seemed feminine enough but had a husky voice ... don't recall if she had the Adam's Apple or not. "She" must have been taking hormones for quite a while when I first began to work there. Anyway, she took a medical leave for gender reassignment surgery and, from what I heard, came back with a vagina created from an inverted penis. I didn't know her well and so never heard any of the details directly from her but she certainly shared them with others in the office. I never really liked to be close to her looking her in the face because then her masculinity was obvious and I was simply creeped out.

It would have been sad and creepy. She probably had a heterosexual marriage for a long time before the change. I can't see too many straight women marrying a man who wanted to be a woman.

Yeah, she was in a long-term marriage with a daughter in college. I don't recall hearing she was getting a divorce after her sex-change. I always thought of her as a woman albeit a strange one
