That's what makes this thread so pointlessly inflammatory. They're not trying to make you take responsibility, they're just looking for a bit of recognition of their pain. Can you imagine it, being part of the culture that was deposed, and having to live, year after year with the victors celebrating your defeat with nationwide parties?

I'm not saying that we shouldn't be able to celebrate our arrival here, and the great country that evolved out of that. But equally, calling people who also see a sadness in the event (and the sadness is undeniable), "black bastards" and petrol sniffers is not helpful, not one little bit.
