"All new technology"? Really?

I call bullshit :P
Well bullshit you say. Maybe not ALL technology. I should have siad... Information Technology.

1. When photos were invented - Porn was a first adopter#
2. When silent movies and sound moving - eailer adopter
3. Magazines - ealier adopter
3.a Phone - Early adopter
4. Videos - eailer adopter
5. PC - Eariler adopter
6. Multimedia - Eariler adopter
7. Internet - Eariler adiopter
8. Pushing internet to limits - Video, chat, streaming, payment

I expect when robots are built - Eariler adopter

The industry has one of the quickest ot adopt and exploit new technology. They also create new theme on how the techlogoy can be exploited for no porn purposes.

Oh, Battery operated motors (fibrators) - eariler adopter
Latex - ealier adopter
Lubricant -eariler adopter

An article just on the WWW.
In 1994, Netscape, with its multi-media capabilities, initiated a new and popular information transmission medium ? the World Wide Web. From the beginning, those in the sex industry saw the potential of the Web, and the Internet industry encouraged the sex industry to use the Web. The first web-based prostitution business, A Personal Touch Services, from Seattle, WA, U.S.A., appeared in late September, 1994 [12]. In late 1994, Brandy’s Babes, a Phoenix, AZ, prostitution service also started advertising on the Web. The Internet Business Journal described this site as the most significant Internet marketing innovation of 1994 [13].

Then you'd be wrong. Robotics has been a serious industry for decades now, with little to no participation from the sex industry.

It seems I have to be very explicit with you boxy and word everything carefully.

Yes industrial robots have been in industry for ages.

When we build humanoid robots I am sure the sex industry will be a very early adoptor.

This is in the news. It may happen in our lifetime and be privately funded. I think this is a little bit of a dream. If they pull it off, government space adventures will forever be taken over by Private Enterprise.

Mars One is a private spaceflight project led by Dutch entrepreneur, Bas Lansdorp, to establish a permanent human colony on Mars.[1]

Announced in June 2012, the plan is to send a communication satellite and path finder lander to the planet by 2016 and, after several stages, land humans on Mars for permanent settlement in 2023.[2] A new set of four astronauts would then arrive every two years.[3]

The project is endorsed by Nobel Prize-winning physicist Gerard 't Hooft.[2][4]

Mars One became a not for profit foundation (Stichting under Dutch law) in early October 2012.[5][6]

In other words, they use stuff when it becomes readily available, after it's been taken through a long development process by others. That's not being an early adopter, that's just normal consumerism.

No it's not.

When they built the first humaniod robot, well before it is a commodity for consumers, the second use for it will be to attach spealised part for the sex industry. There will be one in every quality brothel before they are in 1 in 100,000 homes.

That is an early adopter of new technology.

So does this mean the 'Gillard fem-bot 2000' will be replaced with something that actually works?

And you think this is something special to the sex industry, rather than industry in general? I don't see the sex industry being particularly innovative in technology uptake when compared to industry in general. Are they actually spending big money on development, as other industries would do, with something that would potentially revolutionise their business in such a way?
