Canberra pipe bombs

Post by tllwd » Sat Jan 17, 2026 6:14 am

ACT Policing is warning the community of dangerous pipe bombs which have been located on public paths in Belconnen this week.
https://police.act.gov.au/news/2026-med ... -belconnen

Looks to me like very primitive low power IEDs and it was not being treated as an act of terrorism by police so probably idiot youngsters crap but enough to blow off fingers or disfigure face.

Belconnen man charged in relation to 15 pipe bombs found in Canberra

3h ago

A 41-year-old man has been charged over the alleged manufacturing of pipe bombs found along footpaths in Canberra's north this week.

Fifteen explosive devices were found along the shore of Lake Ginninderra in Belconnen between Joynton Smith Drive and Ginninderra Drive.

Some of the devices had detonated prior to being found, while others were detonated by police.

Police said their investigations led them to a 41-year-old man, who they allege purchased and stole items used to create the pipe bombs from the Bunnings hardware store in Belconnen.

🚨 BREAKING 🚨

Australian Democracy has been SUSPENDED!
We are now living under a totalitarian regime.

The Australian Labor Party can now dictate:

- what we can say;
- if we can meet;
- if we can distribute political ideas in written form;
- who can form political parties;
- what these political parties are allowed to advocate for; and
- how we can defend ourselves.

Essentially all forms of political resistance are now illegal.

These powers are also arbitrary! The ALP has complete discretion to now prosecute their political enemies!

This is literally Australia’s DARKEST HOUR since 1942!

Albo and his band of immigration loving loons refuse to use the two most important words in all this.

RADICAL ISLAM!

Until they can admit the problem there is no solution or fix.

I notice the pro Palestine rabble are our protesting in Sydney again tonight. They should be met with water cannons.
Yep -

The words radical Islam do not appear in the new laws.

Albo has gotta go.

Australia’s new hate laws are constitutionally vulnerable not because the Constitution protects free speech generally, but because they may unjustifiably burden political communication, are vague, and grant extraordinary executive power without procedural safeguards.
Legal experts, civil liberties groups, and even some MPs have already flagged these risks.
"But you will run your kunt mouth at me. And I will take it, to play poker."

Latest news on the hate speech laws that arose from the Bondi attack.

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2026-01-27/ ... /106273486

Brandan Koschel denied bail over alleged hate speech at March for Australia rally

I don't know what he said – it's not being published anywhere that I can find.
9 seconds of his short 45 second speech are from Channel 9 here:

https://www.facebook.com/iwakeupwithtod ... 903783298/

I suppose this is a test of the new laws?

We have only 9 seconds of the 45 second video here:

Time stamp 21 - 30 seconds.

Brandan Koschel
The hate speech laws were pushed by the Australian -
ahh the Jewish lobby groups in Australia -
they - they were behind it all - they were behind it all.
