Take plenty of Vitamin C and Vitamin D to boost your immunity.

Some colloidal silver might help as well.

I think a virus is not like that.
A virus is not a cold. It is not a bad cold, or even a relative of a cold.
The 'normal' virus kills about 500,000 worldwide annually.

Pardon my pedantic nature... But, if you are going to give advice and you don't want to poison your fellow forumites, then...

Take only one vit D per day and no more than that. Vit D is fat soluble and therefore builds up over time. It takes about 4 weeks for vit D to be effective.

Vit C on the other hand is water soluble and so long as renal function is good, you should have no issues.

For our more senior members, dehydration is always a concern, simply because the thirst sensation is diminished. So, every tome you are in the kitchen, have a glass of water!

Oh, and sleep improves immunity responses, so get a good nights sleep!

Nommy, good sage advice.

Too much vitamin D will cause the blood to go acidic and the bones release calcium to cancel the acidity but the reduction of calcium in the bones makes them brittle.

But what is too much Vitamin D ? More than 5 capsules a day would be getting a bit dubious.

In winter there is not so much sun so people tend to become low on Vitamin D and their immune system becomes weak and that is why during Winter people catch flu and colds and etc. Unless of course if they take a couple of Vitamin C and D capsules a day to maintain a strong immunity.

Colloidal silver is supposed to aid the immune system as well as silver inhibits germs.

By far the best defense against the virus is to maintain a strong healthy immune system as an infection will then be quite mild and to wash hands after being in any public spaces and don't touch your face. Most infection occurs after touching an infected person.

Masks protect everyone else from the wearer but don't help the wearer much, unless a proper surgical mask with eye protection is worn. The danger then is taking it off and touching your face before washing your hands as the virus enters via the eyes and nose and mouth.

Vitamin D deficiency affects more than half the population and there is Vitamin D2 and Vitamin D3. D3 is twice as effective at raising blood levels than D2.

It also depends on the strength of the capsules as to how many you should take. They start around 400 IU and go up to 7000 IU the latter of which you only take 1 per week.

I take D3 of 1000 IU at 1 per day.

Vitamin D is also essential for strong bones BUT not too much.

Anyone who takes excessive amounts of any vitamin or medicine is asking for trouble or is addicted to them.

Now why Vitamin D is good for you:- https://www.healthline.com/health/food- ... -vitamin-d

And why TOO MUCH Vitamin D is bad for you:- https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/vi ... -effects#1

Likewise... I'm not a fan of suggesting any kind of vitamin usage except vit D as healthy eating should give you all the vitamins needed.

Just pointing out that you can't just take 5 capsules. It depends on the strength of said capsules.

I agree with those two ideas.
Anyone who has a normal 'balanced' diet in Aussie needs no supplement.

Keep fit, healthy, laugh often.
Think good thoughts - force yourself to do that if you have to.
Your mental wellbeing is important.
