Canberra has, in my experience some of the best water in Australia. Far, far better than Adelaide. If you think you have problems, go to Adelaide and taste their water. The only one of two places where ships refuse to take on fresh water - Aden and Adelaide. In London, your beloved city, they recycle the water, Cods. Did you flee the problem of drinking your own Urine when you came Downunder?

This is the reason I installed a three way water filtration system many years ago.
Biological, chemical and particulate filters remove all the crap.

I foolishly cut one of the filters open a few years ago to see how dirty it was.
The first thing was the smell, it stunk,
The second thing, a black sludge was dripping out as I cut
The black sludge dripped onto my garage concrete, that was about 10 years or more ago, and the stain is still there.

I replace the filters every 12 months
It quite expensive to do
But is there a cost not worth paying for good health?

From the filter to the stainless steel tap, is food grade plastic tubing.
You can really taste the difference.
And we always have a cool bottle of fresh filtered water in the fridge.
