Not sure why you think I care about union membership but since you bought it up, the ABC also report that liberal party membership is at an all time low.

Just for your information, you do NOT have to be a Member of the Liberal Party to be able to vote for them. I have NEVER been a Liberal Party Member.

Lots of people cancelled their Membership when Turncoat stabbed Abbott in the back and vowed that they would never pay to be a Member again while Turncoat was in the chair.

Lots of people decided to just get their name crossed off the Rolls rather than vote for Turncoat as well ... I am not at all surprised that the Membership of the Liberal Party is at an "all time low".

Turnbull scraped in by the skin of his teeth. I can't stand the person.

You are right nef.... both major parties have had declining membership for years...
