The 3 people who told me those 3 stories are people I know and trust. I didn't ask them for the names as they have already been reported and Centrelink has done nothing.

The married couple pretending to be brother and sister are in their mid 40s. The fat girl on DSP with the livin boyfriend who works is in her early 30s. The Brisbane couple are 38 and 40 years old and their kids are 14, 12 and 6. They don't need babysitting.

None of these people should be on the DSP. Those working should have their benefits cancelled and have to repay what they have taken from the Government .. it is fraud. The 2 fat broads should be sent to Jenni Craig to lose weight, then find a job. Then Hubby who is the "carer" won't need to stay on that benefit and should get a job.

No, you are incorrect. The 3 people who told me are genuine and friends of mine who know these fraudsters, personally. The fraudsters have already been reported to Centrelink. Well that's not true Yogi, it's harder to get a Carer's pension than that.
I know that Muslims (Arabs) have rorted our welfare system well and truly from what they've told me personally. I've seen them and heard them brag about it. It's been happening for decades.

But I also think because the Newstart allowance is so poor that some Drs have been compassionate to some patients and recommended them for the DSP. Now even so, it is not that simple to get.

A close friend of mine has a neighbour who is on a DSP, (he's genuinely in need, he's an elderly double amputee and severe diabetic) however the young person (his nephew) whom is claiming carers payment for supposedly being his uncles carer does nothing.
The nephew is a drug addict and rarely remembers to turn up to do anything, and leaves neighbours to shuttle his uncle to and from Dr's appointments and get groceries for him etc.

Elderly people are being neglected and exploited because the system has failed them.
This individual would be better off in residential care, though rather than the government place him in a nursing home, where he belongs, they would prefer to pass the responsibility of his care onto his drug addict nephew for a fraction of the cost of a fully subsidised bed in a nursing home.


It's getting so bad, that just about everyone knows of at least one individual fraudulently receiving benefits, be it carers or DSP.

A legacy of our reckless Labor government i'm afraid.
They created this monster with a view to deliberately disadvantaging and burdening the incoming Liberal government for many years to come, this is just how Labor operates.
In the lead up to the election, they frenetically went about implementing SDCP's (self directed Care packages) for elderly people living in their homes.
They marketed this as being a good thing, giving elderly people more choices and freedoms to dictate the terms of their own care services, when infact, it's enabled unscrupulous relatives and friends to neglect them while receiving carers payments.
Many people do the right thing, but there is an increasing and concerningly large percentage of people who dont.

People don't see what caused this nightmare, (Labor) they just don't like it and will vote for whatever government promises to make it go away.

This concept of elderly people being cared for in their homes by "said carers" needs to be reviewed, because many of these mongrels are claiming carers for mum, dad, nanna or whoever, and are leaving these poor elderly people for dead.

My mother manages an aged care service, and see's this all the time.

Family or friends being payed to care but not doing so.
