Why is it that these racist types are so sensitive and insist we tiptoe around the truth? It was an invasion. It's not like we were invited. Time to call a spade a spade.

:rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl

Why is it that racists always claim any criticism of abos is a racist comment?

Oh and it was not an invasion. But then those racists ignore the abos invasion of the Australian continent?
But guess those FDHs would claim that the US invaded the redskins too :rofl :rofl :rofl

So who invited the aboriginals?

Or like god, is it just they always were?

We all come from somewhere, FD, and the fact that they refer to us having invaded tells us they are most inhospitable, perhaps a little racist themselves and not consistent with a multicultural Australias immigration ethic?

Cant have it both ways, FD.

8-) either we are or aren't welcome arrivals , and if not, then they are themselves racist.

Or is it only racist when we comment about immigrants.

I thought the title of the thread, and the "buy them a jumbo pack" were pretty good indications that Bart is indeed racist, right to the core of his black, black heart.

You appear to be confusing invasion with Terra Nullis.

We should recognise the truth.
You may want to take responsibility for what the English did, but I won't. I'm second gen Aussie and my kin folk suffered as Welsh under the English. Me and my kin can relate to the Aboriginal abuse of land and culture.

Edit: Silly me... I'm first gen Aussie... my parents were new australians sick of suffering under English chains and shackles.

That's what makes this thread so pointlessly inflammatory. They're not trying to make you take responsibility, they're just looking for a bit of recognition of their pain. Can you imagine it, being part of the culture that was deposed, and having to live, year after year with the victors celebrating your defeat with nationwide parties?

I'm not saying that we shouldn't be able to celebrate our arrival here, and the great country that evolved out of that. But equally, calling people who also see a sadness in the event (and the sadness is undeniable), "black bastards" and petrol sniffers is not helpful, not one little bit. Bart obviously wants a divided nation, one where he is with the majority.

Completely agree... the Welsh Culture has been decimated by the English... almost loosing their language into the bargain. But, as someone raised to know how greatly the welsh suffered, you can't help but develop feelings of disrespect towards the nation that did it to your 'nation'.

And this is where the Aboriginals are today... they have feelings of disrespect towards thems that did them in.

Can't blame them for that... but equally, it is a most unhealthy attitude to hold.

Actually, I don't think that we should be celebrating our arrival here... too controversial... rather we should be celebrating the Federation of Australia, since that represents our moment in time where this country became a nation in its own right.

Suck it up and get over it

I didn't get what I wanted for Christmas either and it caused me pain.

Why don't I deserve some recognition. Why is their pain greater than mine?

I am suffering from painism caused by painists?

The Welsh just didn't suffer under the English: the Berbers, Basques and Welsh have the same DNA markers which means the Welsh are not a Celtic people at all and originally did not speak a Celtic language. It is thought that they only adopted the Celtic tongue and culture later when the British Isles were over run with the Celts.
