Climate change... biggest con ever. I think the world has more pressing problems to deal with than a natural occurring event. try to change nature? Give me a break. We, the polluters are part of nature, and we will adapt. And one day we will not be here, as something else will inherit the earth, just as we did.
I just smell a rat, as climate policy has nothing to do with saving the planet. Ultimately its all about the cash. Some clever bastards are going to make a motza out of our gullibility.
Its cold tonight, and if i had an open fire, i'd be shovelling coal into it, just to say "fuck you".

You still have not properly explained your 'punishment' allegation Coyote. The big polluters get taxed for shitting in and on our environment. Yes, they will pass that on to Mums and Dads, hence the various compensation proposals.

Public transport is not factored into the carbon compensation schedule. Nor should it be. Public transport is the cleanest form of transport.

I think it was wrong of the Gillard govt to not include petroleum products as part of the carbon levy.

Oh... by the way CO2 is not a pollutant. This is not a tax on pollution.

Too tired to care. Let's just call it a metaphorical punishment and move on to the business of petroleum products and the need to have them carbon taxed, particularly given that public transport costs are to rise because of the carbon tax.

I have driven behind large diesel driven (public transport) School Busses, observed (and choked in) the shit coming out of the exhaust pipes. You must have experienced exactly the same thing. I have driven behind Cars (both diesel and petrol, gas driven) and seen nothing from the pipes.
