There were a lot of schools who did not need any sports halls, because what they had was adequate. Therefore, the work to such schools was an act of carbon dioxide terrorism because the works contributed more CO2 to our atmosphere than was necessary. Or is the case that we are allowed to be CO2 terrorists when our economy needs stimulus?

If they didn’t need a hall they would have got a library or classrooms. FFS!

And what if they didn't need a library or classroom? There were quite a few schools who got the stimulus money who did not need any works done. FFS!

And why is it that public transport is affected by the carbon tax, but cars are not. Public transport reduces the CO2 impact, whereas cars increase the CO2 impact. But the govt thinks it is better to punish the commuters who are reducing their CO2 footprint. Go figure!

So, I guess you are whinging because the Tax does not effect petrol/gas/diesel put into the cars of Mums and Dads?

That would have to be the stupidest thing you've said in a while on this forum. There are Mum's, Dad's and their kids who think and act green and so use public transport to commute to work or school thereby reducing their carbon footprint. These people who are anything but the 'biggest polluters' are being punished for reducing their carbon footprint, whilst others who abuse our atmosphere in their polluting cars get away with their carbon terrorism without paying an additional cent.

Punish the clean and green, whilst rewarding the carbon abusers... that's one consequence of this stupid tax.

Awesome.

Sure, some kids get public transport. When I was a kid, I (and all my class-mates) rode a bicycle. Today's kids are soft.
These people who are anything but the 'biggest polluters' are being punished for reducing their carbon footprint,
How? Explain this revelation concerning punishment!

True, but hardly worth getting yer tits in a twist, given what pours out of large chimney stacks.
.....this stupid tax.
Explain, and please offer your alternative.

Do you want to talk about reducing our carbon footprint or how soft kids are? Also, define 'some'?

They will have to pay for the carbon usage. In some states the cost of public transport will go up up to $150 per person per annum. Now given that you can have as a conservative estimate 500 people using a train during peak our, their carbon footprint per person is much less than the one person using their car to travel the same distance, yet cars have no carbon costs to cover.

Cars are one of the worst for CO2, in Australia.

Exempt public transport from carbon tax. The accounting for it is pretty easy to do.

I think there should have been a carbon tax placed on all petroleum products.

You still have not properly explained your 'punishment' allegation Coyote. The big polluters get taxed for shitting in and on our environment. Yes, they will pass that on to Mums and Dads, hence the various compensation proposals.
