I guess because MMT is a new idea. Most seem to think the Budget of th govt works like the budget of a household or business.

Read about MMT here: http://www.polanimal.com.au/viewforum.php?f=42

Can’t do it for internal use—printing money without goods being produced leads to inflation.

No one in the US would argue that the interstates are useless yet they are the results of Keynesian spending

US govt is not broke, it will never run out of dollars. It can pay o/seas creditors just by crediting their accounts.

It needs to create some big projects to put Americans to work, creating the money to pay the workers.
If what you say is true, then why is there a debt ceiling? Why is the govt. taking money which is allocated to age pensions, retirement and disability? Why don't they just add some more digits to their books as you claim they can? WTF is that article about if all they need do is update their accounting books with digits and endless zero's behind them?

Oh I see, so the US isn't broke and can never be broke because there is a new modern money theory which no one uses, which you couldn't be bothered explaining in your own words and I couldn't be bothered reading because you can't be bothered paraphrasing.

Unbelievable. :OMG :WTF :huh :S :S :S

'Good' is not a word that comes to mind. Ignorant. Time waster. Uninterested. Irrelevant. These are words that come to mind.

Diddums. Step off your fucking pedestal princess and do some searching on MMT instead of expecting everyone to spoon feed you.

Monk. If you can't prove your understanding of the MMT which nobody uses, by paraphrasing the concept, then I'm not going to bother engaging the theory. It's your call. You have to show interest. Just dumping a few links onto the forum from your forum doesn't cut the grade.

Meanwhile, moving away from fantasy and back into reality, what we have is the US being held to ransom by the senate. They seem hell bent on not raising the debt ceiling and that's causing problems elsewhere. And all that Annie wants for can't happen whilst the Gov. cannot fund it. It makes me wonder Annie, how much debt is too much debt for your nation to handle.

Actually I could. But given your typical fucking attitude I decided I couldn’t be bothered.

If you could you would because you are aware that I am not the only one reading this. But you haven't because you don't understand and so hide behind the blame you attribute to me. Silly man. There's nothing wrong with not understanding the theory.
