For you....why should Admin not be elected on FPTP, given this is an election for Admin on a www Board, and not for the Government of Australia?
Because preferential voting is more democratic. FPTP makes it more likely that the minorty will have their way in a manner opposed by the majority.
If you offer a cogent contra argument
Contra to what? Are you suggesting that the fact this is a website is a cogent argument for FPTP?

For example.........three candidates for Admin here. No allegiances, no affiliations among any, unlike the way it is in Politics. Why should not the person who gets the most votes win?

To use the recent election...........I almost had a clear majority by about a flea's dick, and I did not run on a joint ticket. Boxy and AiA did. I had (almost) more (by the aforesaid flea's dick) than their combined vote. That is....just one candidate almost out polled a combination of the rest.

This is PA.....and until you became our Host, FPTP was the way we did it.

What system do you run on your other Boards, freediver?

Your little game has been rumbled. Time to give it up, your constitution clearly will not be accepted.

So just try and be a good Admin I suggest. Start by deleting that Annie/Monk crap so–called Petition.

Nah. I will do my job as anticipated/expected under the current Constitution.

And that Annie/Monk so-called Petition is what a lawyer would call “vexatious litigation” and is not valid nor in valid form. What is your game in keeping that vile thread alive, Aussie?

The thread stays as it states in the Constitution. Seeing as there is no longer going to be a new Constitution - it will remain for the year or until the required number of ayes have been recorded. Aussie has already told you this. It's not going to be removed just because you demand it. The moderator had no right to sneak around behind Aussie's back and hide the thread - that was an anti-constitutional breach.

If it was susceptible to becoming "vexatious" litigation - the resident lawyer or FD would have had it removed by now.

There is one solution - sack Annie and then the thread can be laid to rest.

You sad old bitch! You have no idea what “vexatious litigation” is, do you Mantra?

Annie is the best thing to happen to this board in years!

The wannabe troll’s so-called Petition is based on several falsehoods and is not in the right form—it has to go!
