The problem is that atheists don't accept any Gaia theory that gives the ecosystem a will. Hippies are not atheists (even if they do discount traditional gods).

There are parts of the general hypothesis that are useful for illistrating what happens in our global ecosystem, but it has nothing to do with divine oversight.

My point exactly. They are theists even if they don't recognise that they are

So why are you claiming that atheists accept a Gaia god

Does that mean I'm not a hippie?

Reads a bit like the Mormons' Joseph Smith story, but I really like the title:

I don't know what to classify you as... which is a compliment, if I've ever heard one :P

ATHENS, Greece — Several thousand Orthodox Christian fundamentalists have marched through central Athens to protest a government plan to issue new electronic ID cards they say would include the number 666, or the "number of the beast," hidden in a design.
Can we give the jesus freaks their tribulation yet?

The way it will work is..............you tell me why you believe in god, and I'll tell you why you're an idiot.

LMAO!

Ok here I am Swami .. and many thanks for your invitation.

Let me TRY and give you a brief summary of why I believe in God.

God's always been an impt part of my life and He has always been a central part of my life.

Ever since childhood I could recall freaky and scary things which happened to me and should have killed me. And there's always been some supernatural intervening force that's interrupted things and allowed me to live. Just 7 months ago, I almost died in 2 back to back accidents. This time I had a NDE which totally freaked me out (initially) but has since given me much peace about death and what happens to us AS we die.

I wish I could go into much more detail on here about what I've just stated. I've done this face to face over many hours with a few atheist and agnostic friends .. and what I've been able to share with them consisted of actual and dreadful real life experiences. They've all came away challenged and more open to the idea that God is very much someone real. And that is exactly what He is to me .. someone real. Why? Because for whatever reason HE has made Himself known to me throughout my life.

Swami .. I'm a very unusual theist in that I seem to attract atheists and agnostics rather than repel them for some reason. Oh and I've found that they love asking me many questions about the Bible too (I think it's probably because they're too lazy to read it themselves and they know that I know the answers already lol ).
I would rather die than sell my heart and soul to an online forum Anti Christ like you Monk
