Greens drive Labor agenda

Post by IQSRLOW » Tue Nov 16, 2010 9:36 pm

Labor are now hostage to the Greens. Labor has to pander to the Greens agenda
http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2010 ... ite=sydney
The Government will back a Greens motion which calls for more debate about gay marriage, as tensions rise within Labor over its official position on the issue.

Labor agreed at its last national conference in 2009 not to support gay marriage, and Prime Minister Julia Gillard has ruled out a conscience vote on the issue.

But Labor will now support a Greens motion which calls for all MPs to speak to their constituents about gay marriage.
What a weak and pathetic govt this is. Bob says roll over and Labor starts panting and the greens wag the tail of the dog

Yeah!

... or perhaps they genuinely believe that discriminating against gays is immoral and they are using the Greens to bypass the hardline Labor 'tards and press for a conscience vote.

We have been through this before.
If gays are allowed to amended the marriage act, then you would have no objection to marriage also including polygamy (3,5,10 men or women) or any other consenting form of relationship being recognized by the state.

Marriage is for a man and a woman. Enjoy your defacto relationship with your hand TomB

ITT: Moron that doesn't recognise a slippery slope when he is sliding down it.

Never the less, we have yet another backflip by the Labor govt.

What do these tards actually stand for?? Other than pandering to tards like TomB

I'm sure you have been through it before but it shouldn't take long to go through your tiny little mind again.

You don't need to worry polygamists, JM's dog doesn't care if you root other dogs.

You're argument is a "logical fallacy". look it up, you might learn something (but I doubt that you will). Any reasonable Australian can differentiate between your ridiculus scenario and modern Australian societies morals.

I do have a defacto relationship as a matter of fact and have no desire to ruin it by getting married but some people do want to and should be able to regardless of their sexuality.

Soon enough the Liberal conservatives will be forced out by a more progressive faction and they will endorse gay equality fully, who will you vote for then?
You vote, you lose!

Leftards are in no position to dictate what modern societies morals should be because they don't have them
but some people do want to and should be able to regardless of their sexuality.
No, they shouldn't. Leftards just have a burning desire to hijack any institution as soon as a vocal minority starts whining. Gay marriage and illegal immigrants are just two examples

I think gays should get married so they have to put up with the same $#!+ as everyone else, like having superannuation accounts swindled out from under them by their bitch. Phuk knows why anybody would want to get married in the 1st place, unless of course it entitles you to take someone elses assets. So if they want to get married, by all means, make them suffer like everyone else.

It's about time we did away with marriage altogether.

Dunno what the fuss is all about, as long as they can get equal legal consideration for their unions, I don't know why they have to call it a marriage.

They already do. They also have the same equal status when it comes to defacto relationships
