Scones.
Lamb roast tomorrow night, family coming over. Bread and butter pudding for dessert.
Tonight we had pumkin risotto, salad + garlic bread.

Family coming tomorrow night now, so might have leftover risotto, my littlest had spaghetti bolognase ( was leftovers I froze) so...
I always make extras and freeze leftovers.
Unless it's something that doesn't freeze well.

We love anything cabbage here. A very underated vegetable.
We'll be having it tonight as a side with our roast leg of lamb.
Cabbage is an essential ingredient in bubble & squeak which is a mandatory breakfast in our home the next morning.

Roasts coming along nicely, veges are in too, worm- farm got the scraps, now waiting for their arrival.
Love roasts, they cook themselves.

The kids can stack the dishwasher and scrub the roasting tray.
I've done my part.

For my man flu - or should I say Covid I'm gonna make a chicken soup.
It's on now: 2 drumsticks, onion, garlic, and herbs and salt - no oil -
to be simmered at the lowest possible temperature for at least 1.5 hours -
then I'll add some mixed veges with carrots and maybe a few noodles for 10 minutes?
maybe use a spud instead of noodles?
That's what I need.
And here it is - it was very nice indeed.
Chicken soup - the only food to eat when you have man flu.
I had 3 bowls like this:

Good - I just use the smallest flame on the smallest gas element.
Cooking at 60 degrees would be a different experience.
It would take 12 hours but it might be yummy.

Re: What's for dinner?
I just bring it to boil and put it to the thermos box, after 3-4 hours temperature is about 80c and food is ready.
Advantages are there is no need to stir as bottom doesn't burn and very economical on energy.
BTW, many years ago people used to make hay box to cook like that.
