Where was your heart when ukronazi were burning people in Odessa pushing pregnant woman into burning building in May 2014?
Where was your heart when ukronazi were killing children in Donetsk same year?
Was it ok in your book because victims were Russians?

I didn't know about these atrocities Tld.
I have just found this however....
https://www.lemonde.fr/en/international ... 109_4.html
So is Russia always the victim and never the aggressor Tdl?
Can you provide me some links to these atrocities please.

Re: The old one
Tdl, would you agree that Russia is entitled to attack Western nations supplying Ukraine with weapon's to defend itself?
https://www.lemonde.fr/en/international ... 625_4.html
Did you know that following independent polling in Russia, only 11% agree with Putins invasion of Ukraine?
And that of the 11% who weren't opposed to this war, the vast majority were over 45 years of age, and or were poorly educated or from lower socio-economic backgrounds.
It's a no brainer Tld, this war has benefited neither Russia or the Ukraine, the only thing it's served to do is strengthen ties with the usual communist countries and a smouldering Soviet Block.

Re: The old one
Remember, the Soviet Union isn't an actual 'thing' it's an ideology.
This war in the Ukraine...... They're fighting a "thing" Westernism, however actual humans are dying needlessly.
I know God disapproves of needless death.
Unfortunately, Putin doesn't appear to agree.
The official ideology of the Soviet Union was Marxism-Leninism. This ideology emphasized the transition from capitalism to socialism and eventually communism, with the Communist Party acting as the "vanguard of the proletariat". The Soviet state was seen as a tool for building socialism and defending the revolution.
It's both Ukraine and a revolution that Putin wants Tld.
Looking at this war from a "have-not" point of view, this is, from the lower socio-economic, poorly educated Russian point of view, fighting for the Russian cause would be rather appealing, I'm guessing these young/old soldiers hope to not only invade, but ultimately be able to purchase Ukraine land from their Russian Government and be able to experience the security of " land ownership " themselves one day soon perhaps? However if you read the Communist Manifesto, there's really no reward at the end for the proletarian because Communism is about state ownership, not the proles ownership of personal property.
If these soldiers survive, the best they or their children's grandchildren can aspire towards is a cold, leaking damp state owned day-sitter in a tennanment block in the outskirts of the former Ukraine owned by the Russian state....( In exchange for sky- high rent) because without a private sector, they will be able to pitch their price. We are currently seeing the beginning of this here in Australia with respects to the Buy To Rent ( BTR) hi-risers , which are owned by the state or International foreign investors and hedge fundees. These bad-boys are popping up everywhere, are often fully furnished and allow young couples to slave their proletarian asses off until they retire penniless.
Can't save for your own home while paying exuberant rent afterall, even if the accomidation is secure, in that you can stay as long as you pay.

Re: The old one
Oh I forgot....
Then the SU "haves" the ruling class who will have even more choice and opportunity to aquire property ( unlike the proletarian class) for a song, particularly in Kiev whereby the essential infrastructure is there still, it's just a matter of moving the current private owners/ dwellers aka Ukrainians out.
If Russia succeeds, these home owning Ukrainians will be regarded as squatters, and be served their eviction notices.
For property of any significant worth must never become property of the proletarian class, for they will refuse to work....or worse, may embark on private enterprise.
Communism aims to avoid some of our typically Western nations quirks, such as intergenerational wealth ( Labor will introduce another inheritance tax shortly SU style here in Oz too) because without a proletarian class, or a ready supply of labouring immigrants, who else will dig up the roads?
The objective in Victorian SU style public schools is to cultivate proles, hence neither the department or government care about our declining public sectors grades either. This is why so many dedicated teachers are leaving the public sector or embarking on entirely different career paths.
The only schools that matter are our private schools, which nourish the children of the upper middle to elite class.
So much for Labors "equality " " Diversity in workplaces" "woman in top jobs " ..... sorry, but unless you were born into the required class, you can forget all of Labors fundamentally false promises.
Rites for some, but not proles i'm afraid.
This is the Marxist way.
The Kremlin owns all of Russia's media outlets, only few questionably independent outlets still exist, and so peering into the lives of everyday Russians is difficult, albeit impossible rather.

Ukrainians know they're destined for a proletarian working class at best, if Russia succeeds.
This is why they're pushing back so hard, despite the obvious unlevel playing field.

Immediately after the start of the SVO, in February 2022, the level of support was 65%, a year later it was 68%, remaining the same at the beginning of 2024 (68%); during the January survey, 67% of Russians declared their support. The share of those who disagreed with the decision in the first year of the SVO, on the contrary, decreased from 25 to 20%, stabilizing at 19% in the following two years.Did you know that following independent polling in Russia, only 11% agree with Putins invasion of Ukraine?

Tdl, I'm not saying that Russia dislike Putin, nor disagree with much of his politics, values etc, it's just the apparent state ownership of the media makes it very difficult to determine what Russians really think.
