I think when you get over a 100K the rules don't apply. However i bet he was looked after.

In the same way in the past, rulers did not kill other rulers because if they did, they may be next.
Always remember what you post, send or do on the internet is not private and you are responsible.

Aussies earning over $100K pay more INCOME TAX than those who earn "only" the average income. What is the average income?

Politicians, like Rudd and others, actually earn a piddling amount. If they had any gumption they would seek employment elsewhere and earn double what they do. The attraction is NOT the income as a Politician, it is the benefits they get AFTER they have given it their "best shot". I've forgotten how long one has to "serve" as a pollie to be eligible for the retirement benefits (snout in trough) .... the former PM, Gough Whitlam ... now in his 90's has had his snout in the trough for 35 years or so at approximately $350,000 "Pension" per year, plus the "security" and so forth .... costs us Taxpayers a mint .... ditto Fraser, Keating, Hawke and Howard. Ministers who just attained MP get less by the way. Ex-PM Rudd is in line to get the same, if he dare. What is Rudd trying to prove? His wife has enough money to support them for eons.

Poor Ruddy indeed.

Whilst it is that Gillard is promising that Krudd will be returned into the fold after the election, the chances of that happening are zippo and zilch.

We all know it... so why is Gillard saying otherwise?

Ho, ho, ho and veritably a bottle of Rum!

Wanna bet?

The ALP will shit this in and Rudd will be offered a senior Cabinet position.

When you lose this bet, you will vote 'aye' on my petition to oust boxy and AiA.

If I lose this bet, I will withdraw mine.

It might be true, but we won't know unless she wins the election. This leak is a bit strange - I can't imagine Rudd would be that petulant, although he's got good reason to be. He would be destroying the Party's chances and if they had proof it was him - would probably sack him outright.

I just wonder if the ALP will be returned. There is a filthy campaign going on out there by the rabid right and a lot of people seem to be falling for it without finding out the facts for themselves.

Seems like the filthy campaign is coming from inside the govt.

I agree... I'm not so sure that Rudd is the culprit. I think it could be Faulkner. When he and she were in the melb chapter of the labor power house they clashed big time... did not get along at all.

I don't know about that campaign... care to share please.
