I found it at the back of the property as a mummified husk, the Egyptians couldn't have done a better job lol

My wife's favorite aunt had an accident this afternoon. She may not survive. Aunt Linda pulled into her driveway and stopped by her mail box. She didn't put the car all the way into park and the car backed over her as she was getting her mail. She has a lacerated liver, broken hip, and a broken femur. She is 84 years old and has been in pretty good health. She babysits her great grandchildren and has kept her wits about her in her old age. Her son walked out of the house and witnessed the accident. She was care flighted to a hospital in Dallas. She is in surgery right now.

Aunt Linda made it through surgery and it will take months to recover, but her odds are looking pretty good at being able to live an independent life again. I hope her granddaughter will not ask her to babysit great grandkids any more.

On other news, my nephew now has the covid. He is a 22 year old senior at Texas A&M University. He is healthy and having only a mild cough and slightly sore throat. He has no fever. His sister has gone to live with her mother for 2 weeks. My brother has a large house and he lives downstairs and my nephew stays upstairs for quarantine. My brother teaches economics and business software at the high school level and now teaches class from home exclusively and I've volunteered to bring him anything he might need. I just got off the phone with my mom and told her to stay away and let me take care of my brother if he needs it. We will enjoy Christmas this year. While many people are afraid to be around their elderly, most of our family has had it and can be less afraid of spreading this disease to grandparents.

Geez Tex your whole family has certainly had a bad run with Covid. I'm glad Aunt Linda's prospects are positive too.

A friends great great? aunt who is 102 fell down and broke her hip. They had to operate and after the anaesthetic the aunt seemed like she all of a sudden had dementia. Apparently that's fairly common.

I had my friend on the phone last night very upset because the aunt did not recognise her when she went to visit. Hopefully her mind goes back to normal but she's had a really really good run at life so far.

Aunt Linda's mother and brothers have all had Alzheimers. She's been through a lot in the last few years. Id hate to see that happen.

Home from work. Now I get to do some plumbing and install our new fridge. The joys of home ownership.

No Aunt Linda news. I'm sure she will go to a rehab center soon and hopefully we can visit her. It was Aunt Linda and a lady friend of mine who encouraged Mrs Texan and I to become pen pals 30 years ago.

The only installation we do with a fridge here is take it out of its box and plug it in lol
