Patients have made agreements - contracts - with PRIVATE hospitals to have surgery done -
now those doctors have nothing to do so Dopey Dan has to pay them with our money
and the poor patient has to wait maybe a year for the operation they desperately need.

Daniel must resign.

As much as I cannot stand Dan Andrews he is doing the right thing at this point in time and as far as I know it only relates to elective surgery.

Would you want to go to a hospital right now for elective surgery? I wouldn't.

Elective surgery can involve very serious matters such as an umbilical hernia.
They are like time bombs that can quickly strangulate and the pain is so intense
that the patient can die from the pain alone.
People will die because of of what Dan has done.
He's a Labor party idiot with power that has gone to his head.

Life threatening surgery will still be undertaken. Geez, Bobby, they aren't just going to let people die.

You would call 000 for an ambulance and they would attend to you.

By the time you get to hospital it could be too late.
People die all the time while waiting for elective surgery -
especially when their only choice is a public hospital.
People pay high insurance premiums for PRIVATE hospitals to avoid that risk.

BigP - no - I'm not going to reveal actual situations that I know about.

Daniel Andrews has no right to advise a surgeon about medical procedures any more
than you or me - he's not a doctor - he's a politician.

I just saw it on channel 7 news.
1000s of workers at private hospitals were about to be stood down due to lack of work -
until the Govt. stepped in to pay their wages.
I could understand the move made by Dan if the public hospitals were overloaded but
there are hardly any Coronavirus patients.
The whole saga is being made up as policy on the run -
worked out on the back of beer coasters.
It's obvious that no thought went into the new rules forced on to private hospitals
and the unintended consequences.
I wonder if it was even legal to basically nationalise private hospitals?
I suppose that the Govt. wasn't going to get every move right?
Let's hope they don't make more stuff ups with peoples lives that are unnecessary.

It pays to remember that it was a Chinese billionaire, who owns masses of private hospitals here, who started this private hospital panic because he wanted funding from the Feds.

My daughter and my Grandkids live with me in Frankston South and has done so since her separation. Her ex lives rurally, beyond Lilydale. Given the new restrictions, we wanted to know if my grandkids are allowed to still have their fortnightly visits with their father. We have contacted the various 'hotlines' for advice and have received different answers each time.

So I advised my daughter to call the police and ask them, since they are expected to enforce these changes because, and as we all know, ignorance of the law is no excuse... but they don't know either!

So, bravo to all the authorities for proving just how inept you are!
