I used to watch ABC when they had shows like Dr Who (with Tom Baker as the Doc) and Red Dwarf.

Then it got so piss poor I found SBS to be far better.

Then the commercial stations went mad with cooking and so called reality shows, which just encourage back-stabbing and are about as close to reality as Micky Mouse.

So when the analogue frequencies were switched off (2013 'round here) for the public (now used by the military due to superior range and signal strength) I gave up TV and don't miss it.
If Donald Trump is so close to the Ruskis, why couldn't he get Vladimir Putin to put novichok in Xi Jjinping's lipstick?

Reboot isn't a hard lefty and I agree with her. I can't see any improvements Ita has made in fact wasn't she at the helm when that ridiculous feminism show aired which has been slammed and slammed and slammed again? The ABC is still dreadfully biased and only revered by the hard left.
So, 90% of Australians are of the "hard Left", Black Orchid? Mmmm?
If the ABC has 90% of the viewing population on side why do most ignore it in favour of the commercial channels? ... AND why isn't Bill Shorten PM?

Don't worry I can answer that for you ... it's because lefty moonbats like yourself have never grown up, so live in a perpetual fantasy world. And when you live in a fantasy world the truth is whatever you imagine you'd like it to be, so pulling fabricated stats from thin air is normal and ethical.
Deny it all you want. Research shows that approximately 90% of the Australian population trust the ABC as a news/current affairs source. As much as you want to cut the ABC, the reality is that you would be cutting your own throats.

"Research" showed that Shorten would win Trump would lose, and the UK would not Brexit.

If there is one thing that this last decade has taught the western world, it is just how out of touch with real people's values, attitudes, and opinions the pollsters and fortune tellers have.

Even the Bogey Man agrees that BRossy's armchair arm waving "research" is, to put it politely, pure bulldust.

Not sure about two of that three, Bogan. Personally, I think Trump should have lost, afterall, Clinton did garner more than 2.5 million extra votes compared to him.

How can they be out of touch if they ask questions, Bogan, unless the questioned public told lies? :roll :roll

But when One Nation got 12% of the total Australian vote in one election and got no seats, and the Greens got 6% of the total vote and got four seats, you claimed that everything was humpty dory.

Trump won his election fair and square. Next time he will do even better because just like in Australia and the UK, his opposition is doing it's best to piss off their own voters. Get over it.

They were out of touch because they called the elections wrong. They asked the wrong demographics the wrong questions and they forgot about the rednecks, deplorables, and bogans.

They will require 50%+ in the majority of seats to form government. The Australia people are not as foolish as you appear to believe.

Trump lost the popular election by 2.5+ Million votes. He won the electoral college vote. Next time? I wonder.

No, the electors decided to vote a different way to what they said they would. Terribly unsporting to lie to people about their opinion, hey?

The armchair experts just cannot understand why things happen as they do. But they are always looking backwards because it is too hard to understand what is actually happening right in front of them.

But anyone looking at reality right in front of them has no difficulty at all understanding. I predicted ScoMo would win as it was as clear as day to me as who would want that obnoxious lying little creep Shifty Shorten being controlled by the Greenies wrecking Australia ?

And Trump winning was just as easy to predict as who would want Hillary Pants Suits after Obama ?
