Iranian protest against Islamic regime
Iranians have been protesting against the Islamic regime for the last 3 days they want to get rid of the bearded nutjobs who rule Iran.
If they can achieve it this time it will be huge they want secular democracy they will cut all Iranian funding of terrorist groups which include Hamas and Hezbollah along with terrorists they support in Syria, Bahrain and Iraq.
Trump has tweeted support for Iranians wanting to overthrow the mullahs it has become the most liked tweet in the history of Persian Twitter.

Re: Iranian protest against Islamic regime
The protests against the ruling Islamic regime late last year saw over 1500 protestors killed with another 12,000 thrown in jail, these Iranians are very brave in protesting again.Third day of protests by Iranian people and students in 17 provinces
A number of students have been arrested, several women are among those wounded
The third day of protests by Iranian people and students continued on Monday, January 13, 2020 in Tehran and other cities. Brave women and female students of Iran have been actively and widely participating in the new wave of protests against the mullahs’ supreme leader which has already spread to 17 provinces.
Sunday evening, January 12, 2020, Iranian people and youth gathered in Azadi Square, Enqelab Square and the roads and avenues leading to them. In Qods City, women tore down a poster of Qassem Soleimani and set it on fire.
In Azadi Square, masked agents attacked the protesters. Authorities closed down the gates of the metro station at Azadi Square, to prevent passengers from joining the protesters. The large crowd of passengers were stranded inside the metro station for several hours.
Sunday night, security forces received orders from their supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, to use batons and tear gas against protesters and fire at them. They also brought in water cannons and vehicles equipped with 50 caliber machine guns to confront and disperse the protesters.
A number of protesters were wounded in the crackdown on the protests. Clips posted on the internet show several young women shot by security forces in Azadi Square and nearby streets. A large number of students and protesters have also been arrested in Tehran, Karaj, Mashhad, Zanjan, Babol, Rasht, Gorgan, Tabriz, Kermanshah and Kashan.
Despite such massive clampdown, students of Sharif Industrial University continued their third day of protests on Monday, January 13, 2020 with chants of “death to the dictator.” They expressed their detestation of the ruling clerical regime.
Students of the University of Babolsar also held a protest gathering and chanted, “Don’t call me seditionist, you are the sedition, you the oppressor.” Also, the students of all-women Az-Zahra University held a gathering and commemorated the victims of the Ukrainian plane crash.
People held protests in various parts of Tehran and other cities including Isfahan, Mashhad, Ahvaz, Shadegan, Kermanshah, Sanandaj, Karaj, Sari, Babol, Amol, Semnan, Shahroud, Tabriz, Qazvin, Zanjan, Shiraz, Urmia, Gorgan, Arak, Qods and Robat Karim, calling for the overthrow of the clerical regime.
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, hailed the arisen people of Iran and said, “The time has come for the world community to acknowledge the truth that the ruling religious fascism does not represent the Iranian people and to recognize the national demand of the Iranian people to overthrow this regime.”
She also called on the UN Secretary General, the UN Security Council, the European Union and its member states, and all international human rights organizations to take urgent action to free those arrested defenders and organizations throughout the world to take urgent action to free those arrested in Iran. She also called for the clerical regime’s criminal file to be referred to the Security Council and regime officials to be brought to justice.

The Iranians are happy to have a POTUS in Trump who supports them many are asking why Obama never said anything in 2009 when they tried to get rid of the Islamic regime.

I'm glad people in the middle east are waking up from the farce that is Islamic authoritarian rule.

Pelosi dismisses protests in Iran as largely students.Any #Iranian-American Democrat (or centrist like myself) who is planning on voting for @SpeakerPelosi or one of the @DNC presidential hopefuls who interacts with @NIACouncil should really think hard about their decision after seeing this. “Whatever it was”

Pelosi backs students protesting against climate change.
Democrats showing how out of touch they really are with Iran.

Wow
Top Iranian reporter apologizes 'for lying' and quits government TV after plane crash
An anchor for Iran's state-run TV resigned today because of "lies" surrounding Iranian airstrikes that downed a Boeing 737-800 passenger plane above Tehran last week.
"Iran State TV's anchor resigns saying, 'It was very hard for me to believe the killing of my countrymen. I apologize for lying to you on TV for 13 years,'" it was reported.
Journalists in Iran have struggled to report factually on the events surrounding the recent airstrikes due to the government's strong grasp on media outlets. President Trump demanded the Iranians "turn your internet back on" yesterday after the Iranian government moved to shut off communications to the outside world.

The drone attack was an airstrike.brian ross wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2020 3:11 pm"airstrikes"? AIUI the aircraft was shot down by a SAM (surface to air missile).
The missile attack were also airstrikes.
The SAM attack was an airstrike in that the attack was in the air.
All 3 used the principles of flight through the air to facilitate the strike.

It really beggars belief that the left aren't happy with the outcome.
Sure the legality to take out Qassem Soleimani was a bit iffy as is a lot of USAs drone work, but Qassem Soleimani was THE GUY who was shooting the Iranian protesters on the street.
The left really have lost their way.

Re: Iranian protest against Islamic regime
I've read lots of Twitter posts coming directly out of Iran and they were all ecstatic that Soleimani is dead. Some also said that the massive crowd at the funeral looked a lot larger than it should have because the streets were blocked off and everyone was forced into that one area. Deception at its finest to feed propaganda to the left.
