Nice spin but climate change has nothing to do with it.
It has a lot to do with it, Black Orchid and no matter how much you deny it, most Australians know it is the culprit here. :roll
Most Australians know that climate change did not drive people to light the majority of the fires which are now so big they have created their own weather mainly because the Greens have thwarted and stopped fire reduction controls.

That's FACT!!
No, that is bullshit, Black Orchid. :roll :roll
The are saying on the news that the fires in southern nsw were the result of dry lightning strikes.

Former Prime Minister Tony Abbott helped fight raging bushfires south of Sydney on Friday while current leader Scott Morrison relaxed on holiday in Hawaii.

Mr Abbott, who has volunteered with the Rural Fire Service for more than a decade, was pictured at the Bargo BP service station wearing the yellow uniform of his Davidson squadron before battling the Green Wattle Creek fire.

He agreed to take a few snaps with fans and the photos quickly went viral on social media as Australians called for the 62-year-old, who led the nation from 2013 to 2015, to be made Prime Minister once more.

Meanwhile, Scott Morrison was pictured relaxing in Hawaii just hours after telling voters he would come home 'as soon as I can'.

Tony Abbott blew off cabinet meetings and John Howard to fight fires and clear storm damage with his volunteer firefighter comrades, his brigade captain has revealed.

Mr Abbott joined the NSW Rural Fire Service in October 2000 and juggled firefighting with his 25-year political career.

The 62-year-old earlier this week told Daily Mail Australia joining the RFS was 'one of the best things I've ever done' and spoke of his admiration for his colleagues.

Trent Dowling, captain of the Davidson brigade on Sydney's northern beaches, said Mr Abbott sometimes even chose his volunteer passion over politics.

He said while a minister in the Howard Government, Mr Abbott on multiple occasions would call in to say he couldn't make it to work.

'One time we were clearing storm damage and he was on the phone with John Howard when he was supposed to be in cabinet,' he told Daily Mail Australia.

'Howard said he really needed him for a meeting and Tony told the PM "I can't come into work today, I've got a few things to do".

'He left his phone in the truck and when he picked it up [hours later] there was a text from Howard saying ''you're out with the fire brigade, aren't you".

I am not supporting/defending Morrison but if Abbott were still PM you would be criticising him as well no matter what he did.

It is the epitome of embarrassment when sections of the media are calling for the NZ PM to come to
Australia to replace scumo.

I dont think he copes well when pressure is applied.

I remember in the last sitting of parliament Labor were applying a bit of pressure on him in question time requesting QT be suspended to debate some issue. (Angus Taylor?) Labor kept repeating this request!

Morrison dug in and kept refusing it, but showed in his manner he was getting more and more annoyed.

Some of the press commented that Howard would have allowed the request after a couple of times and then knocked the debate on the head as the government had the numbers.

This bloke seems to think he must always win in QT, rather than playing the long game!

But nevertheless ScoMo inevitably comes out on top.

But then he has sluggish stolid Anal and the disgusting treacherous Greenies who caused the bush fires helping him.
