Re: What are your hobbies?
I build weapons for my daughter who does comicon.
I have made quite a few, some more complex than others.
I'll shrink a few pics and post them later.
My tablet docent seem to be able to.

I have a dream
A world free from the plague of Islam
A world that has never known the horrors of the cult of death.
My hope is that in time, Islam will be nothing but a bad dream

By blown, do you mean blown glass? That's fun to watch. We have a 1910 era train that sells rides to the Fort Worth Stockyards. Next to the train station is a business that sells glassware and you can watch them make it for free while you wait for the train.Black Orchid wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2019 2:15 pmI used to make these little satin lined jewel boxes out of blown goose eggs. Fiddly stuff lol.

We live on two acres and have made it into our hobby farm. My wife loves the less common breeds of chickens we have a frizzle, two Polish, two Silkies, three Turkens and some Sumatras . We also have the more common larger breeds and have a current total of nineteen. We garden using raised beds, portable containers and a hydroponic floating bed system.

I have 2 Turkens. I just want eggs. I have mostly Rhode island reds and Wyandottes. In the Spring, I plan to get some Ameraucana chicks for the blue eggs. I had an Easter egger laying green eggs, but she died. I built my chicken tractor to house 12 hen's. I have an isolation area with a trap door to a protected grazing area underneath for the chicks. I use a mama heating pad in a bucket so I can raise the chicks outside and they can self regulate how much heat they want. The coop is wired for electricity and it has a light and a small radio to keep predators guessing about my presence.Mortdooley wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2019 2:55 amWe live on two acres and have made it into our hobby farm. I can't remember where I got the idea but I build 4x4 frames with cedar posts, add wheels and attach the small chicken houses from Tractor Supply with L brackets. Add eye bolts to each end and pull them to fresh ground while keeping them safe from the Chicken Harks. Our main chicken house is off grid just because I wanted to experiment with solar power, it has a 40 watt shop light for the main room, a 60 watt equivalent 9 watt fixture for the actual hen house and enough battery to light it for hours of use. During the summer I use an extension cord to run a box fan 24 hours a day to save wear on the batteries. I should add a radio so the chickens can enjoy conservative talk shows.
