HOW DARE YOU!
To Briney.
Fourth time. What caused the Medieval Warm Period a thousand years ago when it was 2 degrees hotter than today? What caused the Roman Warm period when the Romans were growing grapes in East Anglia? What caused the Minoan Warm Period a thousand years before that, CO2? What caused to Sumerian Warm Period a thousand years before that? What caused the Egyptian Warm Period a thousand years before that?
See a pattern?

[Source]The Medieval Warm Period (MWP) also known as the Medieval Climate Optimum, or Medieval Climatic Anomaly was a time of warm climate in the North Atlantic region lasting from c. 950 to c. 1250.[1] It was likely[2] related to warming elsewhere[3][4][5] while some other regions were colder, such as the tropical Pacific. Average global mean temperatures have been calculated to be similar to early-mid 20th century warming. Possible causes of the Medieval Warm Period include increased solar activity, decreased volcanic activity, and changes to ocean circulation.[6]
The period was followed by a cooler period in the North Atlantic and elsewhere termed the Little Ice Age. Some refer to the event as the Medieval Climatic Anomaly as this term emphasizes that climatic effects other than temperature were important.[7][8]
It is thought that between c. 950 and c. 1100 was the Northern Hemisphere's warmest period since the Roman Warm Period. It was only in the 20th and 21st centuries that the Northern Hemisphere experienced warmer temperatures.[citation needed] Climate proxy records show peak warmth occurred at different times for different regions, indicating that the Medieval Warm Period was not a globally uniform event.[9]
Warm periods have occurred in the past. The reasons why they have occurred have varied. Their primary drivers have been solar activity and volcanic activity (or rather the lack there of), Anthropomorphic Global Warming has not been accompanied by either. The increased burning of fossil fuels has produced increased CO^2 and this has resulted in a greenhouse effect. All you are doing, Bogan is demonstrating your gross ignorance of this topic by your continued throwing of red herrings into the debate. Tsk, tsk.

Likewise, the mainstream media has ignored a 61-page EIR Special Report, “‘CO2 Reduction’ Is a Mass Murder Policy Designed by Wall Street and the City of London”, containing ample evidence of the bankers’ climate dictatorship." ...quote from CEC.....
500 scientists....hhmm...tsk tsk....
[Source]This is a list of scientists who have made statements that conflict with the scientific consensus on global warming as summarized by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and endorsed by other scientific bodies. A minority are climatologists. Nearly all publishing climate scientists (97–98%[1]) support the consensus on anthropogenic climate change.[3][4]
The scientific consensus is that the global average surface temperature has risen over the past century. Scientific opinion on climate change was summarized in the 2001 Third Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). The main conclusions on global warming at that time were as follows:
The global average surface temperature has risen 0.6 ± 0.2 °C since the late 19th century, and 0.17 °C per decade in the years 1971–2001.[5]
"There is new and stronger evidence that most of the warming observed over the last 50 years is attributable to human activities", in particular emissions of the greenhouse gases carbon dioxide and methane.[6]
If greenhouse gas emissions continue the warming will also continue, with temperatures projected to increase by 1.4 °C to 5.8 °C between 1990 and 2100.[A] Accompanying this temperature increase will be increases in some types of extreme weather and a projected sea level rise.[7] The balance of impacts of global warming become significantly negative at larger values of warming.[8]
These findings are recognized by the national science academies of all the major industrialized nations;[9] the consensus has strengthened over time[10] and is now virtually unanimous.[11] The level of consensus correlates with expertise in climate science.[12]
500 is a tiny minority compared to the hundreds of thousands of scientists who support the view that Global Warming is occurring because of anthropomorphic driven Climate Change. The number of dissenting scientists contains a tiny number who are climatologists.

I know right! Fancy wanting to discuss the topic... which is the girl and not climate change. Still, it was a learning experience. I now feel justified trashing topics as you and lover, BR constantly do! Bravo!Bogan wrote: ↑Thu Oct 03, 2019 4:30 pmTo NDP

Climate Change
Perhaps someone can identify the hundreds of thousands of scientists who are trumpeting climate change..
Perhaps a list of their names....no...I dint think so.....tsk tsk....hhhmmm….
