Only if we are threatened or attacked by another nation with nuclear weapons... What are we supposed to do about bands of raiding say, Chinese sailors coming ashore and claiming bits of Australia for themselves? Mmmm?

I laugh at discussions about Australias Defence strategy...
We will be waiting for 30 years before we get our French built submarines, and in the meantime, we are
paying billions of dollars to the yanks for their cast off F35s which cant fly in a storm and need painting every time
they touch down, together with millions of dollars being constantly spent on their upgrading...
And of course whilst this is happening, we are constantly bombarded by the politicians about how our
front line military are the most highly trained on the planet....
But no-one is told about how training of our Army is so watered down to allow women to pass that it has really
become a joke....
I guarantee if I enlisted today as an elderly recruit I would pass Kapooka with flying colours.....
How hard is it to carry a two kilo pack for two kilometres and just walk through an obstacle course and finish
it whenever you feel like it.
