Re: 2019 Federal Election
OK all sorted. I called the AEC and the real cutoff isn't until tomorrow and I can fill out the application (the second ) online which is what I am doing now. Federal member got it wrong and lost a vote for being a dick.

One less vote for libtardsBlack Orchid wrote: ↑Tue May 14, 2019 10:36 amPostal vote applications had to be received by 13th, yesterday. One would think that meant by close of business on 13th but apparently not.
Apart from the fact Australia Post took a week to deliver it apparently cut off is 9.00 am on 13th and mine arrived at 9.30 am and was not accepted.
I am SO mad I am tempted not to vote at all

I was listening to the wireless today and they are now saying that the Independents will be the KING MAKERS as there will not be a clear winner....
How could this be right when all along they’ve been telling us that the Labor/Greens party will shit it in?

I just did this morning ..
Put Greens last, then Labor, then some independent who says he’s “progressive”, then Liberal... then Australian United Party 🥳
That’s all the choices we had on the green card...
IN the senate One Nation got my Number 1

Re: 2019 Federal Election
I will probably vote tomorrow. It's just an annoyance because I will now have to go a long way out of my way to do it because I have no intention of standing in a queue closer to home on Saturday. The Mechanic wrote: ↑Tue May 14, 2019 12:04 pmGo down and vote at the booth...LEFTWINGER supreme wrote: ↑Tue May 14, 2019 11:21 amOne less vote for libtardsBlack Orchid wrote: ↑Tue May 14, 2019 10:36 amPostal vote applications had to be received by 13th, yesterday. How annoying that somebody who should know, didn't!Black Orchid wrote: ↑Tue May 14, 2019 11:06 amOK all sorted. I did a postal vote this year too. Filled out the application online and the paperwork arrived in my mailbox the next day, then I posted the completed vote off that night and got an email the following morning (before 9 am) from the AEC that they had received my postal vote! The Austpost must have had a tail wind. This was last week. I applied early just in case it took a while to get here and back again, knowing what AustPost can be line.
I think a lot of people have either voted pre-poll or sent a postal vote this time. Just goes to show how bored we all are.

Re: 2019 Federal Election
It's too late now for me to receive the ballot papers in time anyway. When the local member just sent the applications to me I didn't even think that I had to send them back to his office and that he would then have send them on to the AEC. Seems a convoluted way of doing things unless he just wants to keep an eye on what his constituents are doing.Neferti~ wrote: ↑Tue May 14, 2019 12:38 pmHow annoying that somebody who should know, didn't!Black Orchid wrote: ↑Tue May 14, 2019 11:06 amOK all sorted. Oh well, lesson learned. Next time I will go straight to the AEC and apply online.
