Dear SerialBrain9,

Labor has confirmed today their intention to slug Australian taxpayers with hundreds of billions of dollars in higher taxes – on retirees, housing, families and more.

Labor’s taxes would weaken the economy, but their costings hide the impact of these higher taxes – on jobs, property values, rents and retirement incomes.

For example, they give no consideration to how many retirees would be forced onto the pension as a result of Labor’s Retiree Tax. Or the economic impacts from a shock to the housing market as a result of their Housing Tax.

Labor’s costings also don’t properly account for a number of very expensive promises they’ve made, like doubling the foreign aid budget, increasing the annual refugee intake to 32,000 and increasing Newstart.

The last Labor Government promised a surplus hundreds of times, but delivered six record deficits totalling $240 billion.

Labor simply can’t manage money. They have not delivered a Budget surplus since 1989.

It has taken years to turn Labor’s last mess around. Now is not the time to turn back.

The Liberals have promised 60 Million to fix our roads if they win - but here Labor are giving away an EXTRA 1200 Million to God Knows who which has no benefit to Australia.
