My insurance is pretty comprehensive. The maladies I listed are only what my family has experienced, but my insurance covers everything from cancer, organ transplants, birth defects, and Parkinson's. We have people who have been on welfare with free medical care since the 60s. Their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren have never done anything productive and the bills are becoming too much to bear. There is too much fraud and abuse for socialism to work in the real world for long term without totalitarian control by the government and rationing of services. Hence the lines for bread and TP that socialist countries are famous for.

And how much do you have to pay for that level of cover, Tex?

How does someone who is not earning very much get that level of cover?

Medical care is IMO a right, not a privilege based on how much you can pay. Everybody is entitled to at least an adequate level of care. That doesn't mean they are necessarily entitled to be covered for the frivolities - the liposuction, the cosmetic treatments, the "nips and tucks", the gender reassignments, etc. They should be covered for life-saving treatments - again not necessarily to extremes either. Everybody dies eventually and people just need to face their own mortality.

Everybody gets medical care in America. With insurance, that medical care doesn't bankrupt me. Most people have insurance through their employer, so anybody with a job has insurance. People who refuse to get a job deserve to be broke.

Anything the government takes over tends to become expensive, especially healthcare. My grandparents used to pay cash for their medical care and it was not a problem. My granddaughter's birth cost over $10k, but my son's insurance covered 100%.

Might I inquire as to why your granddaughter's birth was so expensive, Tex?

I am sure that some people are amongst the working poor and cannot receive or afford medical insurance, Tex. You appear unwilling to consider their plight. I wonder why? Are they expected to die simply because they cannot afford medical treatment?

Poor people have kids every day and many of them are funded by my tax dollars. Where did I expect someone to die? The lazy will get motivated if you make them.

Failures in life, they seek solace in supporting the sick, twisted and lazy believing that they are doing it for some justifiable outrage.

The truth is, failure is often self imposed.
Lazy and criminal people rarely succeed in life.
So they blame others for their failings.
Terminally outraged, they rant and rave on behalf of so called "oppressed".
You see this in aboriginals and their sychophant supporters who are always outraged
You see it in homosexuals and their sycophant who are continually outraged and very vocal about the8r "rights" stuff the rest.

Successful people do not support parasites and the terminally twisted, they see life for what it is.
They get angry, not because they are "oppressed" but because they see the lazy, parasites sucking the system dry rather that getting off their arses and actually doing it for themselves.

Tell me I'm wrong, but this is how I see them.
And it's getting worse.

We can now have twisted teachers telling our children that it's ok to be twisted and that they can be any gender they like.
They are emasculating males to make them even more oppressed than the minority groups they support....this offends me, but if I say anything, I'm a homophobe.

We have, on the other hand, a religious man simply quoting from his biblical text, and suddenly, the terminally twisted get all antsie, he is the devil incarnate and must be sacked.

This is the new world we live in, supported by the terminally offended like bwyannnnnnnn.
These sycophants generate vitriol and insulting sometimes even violent posts, simply because they know they are right, regardless of the evidence otherwise.
Shutting down discussion and debate rather than openly debating facts, which they know will refuse their twisted arguments.

Being insulting and attacking the person rather than the subject.
