Did they? Those on the DSP got it, wonder why not the others? Ah well, $75 won't go very far anyhow.Bobby wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2019 3:55 pmBlack Orchid wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2019 2:32 pmSingle pensioners get a one off payment of $75 to tackle rising electricity prices. I had to laugh at this

I thought it a bit weird that Newstart recipients were excluded to begin with.Bobby wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2019 3:55 pmBlack Orchid wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2019 2:32 pmSingle pensioners get a one off payment of $75 to tackle rising electricity prices. I had to laugh at this

Did they even think about those people who heat their homes and cook with NATURAL GAS? I don't but hey ... it gets bloody cold in Canberra during Winter.

My gas bill is usually quite a bit higher than my electricity bill.

My place is ELECTRICITY ONLY. During Winter I leave the heating on 24/7 and get an extremely good rebate from our Labor/Green Government.Black Orchid wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2019 4:29 pmMy gas bill is usually quite a bit higher than my electricity bill.

How could they forget about the poor buggers on the dole?
Many of them are old & very sick and can't can't find work & get the DSP. or old age pension.
They have been brutally thrown on the scrap heap.
This is a very cruel society that we live in - it's dog eat dog -
and God help you if you're old.

We burn Jarrah over here on west coast, half a day and you have a full trailer load that will keep you warm for 6-8 weeks , the rest of the year put some extra clothes on and or get moving

Small businesses and people earning between $48,000 and $90,000 will get decent tax breaks as they well should.
Can you show me where the actual surplus is? I can only see a forecast , this isnt going to be like their wage forecasts for last six years is it, you know.. Where they've had too downgrade it every single year
