Whatever that means  Cut it out Brian. Can't you just converse with people without the constant nastiness, ad hom and name calling attacks?

Rhetorical question so no need for a response.
The truth hurts, hey, Black Orchid? If you don't like me calling posters Racist/Islamophobic/Xenophobic then stop them posting Racist or Islamophobic or Xenophobic comments. Simples really. It's not as if I am being derogatory by identifying their ideologies, now is it?
In YOUR opinion Brian. Comprehension is not your strong point (although misrepresentation is) and I am sure most of the forum has ugly little names to define you but they don't carry on like name calling kiddies. It's obvious why you are so familiar with this kiddies playground that you talk so much about.

I am used to being called names by people who are ignorant and cannot identify a centralist for what I am. I believe in balance in politics. Australia has long been a left-of-centre politically society. I am familiar with the little kiddies' playground because many of my adversaries obviously belong there with their ad hominem insults and mud slinging, rather than proper argument. I do not resort to ad homimen debate unless really, really provoked. If you find my invocation of the little kiddies' playground galling, address your comments to those who have invoked it, not me. I am being polite in doing so, unless you find the mere suggestion that they should go back to the little kiddies' playground insulting?

Now, we could all settle down and stop insulting one another and other people really easy. Just stop people using Racist/Islamophobic/Xenophobic arguments. It is not hard. Unless of course you believe people should be allowed to insult one another and other people...

In Australia we still have FREE SPEECH, don't we?

What you are doing, Brian, is labeling people, according to your POLITICAL beliefs. Then ABUSING them because of it.

Open up your mind and at least LISTEN to what people say .... it is not against the Law to have a different opinion .... especially on a Forum such as this where everybody is ANONYMOUS. :rofl

Strictly speaking, no we don't, nor have ever legally had such a right, Neferti. There is nothing in the Australian Constitution nor in Australian legislation which guarantees it, which you would know if you knew anything about the topic and didn't just absorb information from the American end of the internet.

:rofl
I listen to what they say and identify it and them for what it is. If you spout Racist/Xenophobic/Islamophobic/Sexist/Homophobic nonsense, then I will call you a Racist/Xenophobe/Islamophobe/Sexist/Homophobe. I am unsure why people find being identified for what their views are, insulting, Neferti. People like to call me a "Communist" or a "Socialist" as if that is an insult. I don't find it insulting, just mistaken. If I have made a mistake, identifying your political views and ideology for what it is, correct me, in a sane, rational and polite way and I'll reconsider it. Problem is, people like you and others, get upset and start throwing mud at me like a little child. So I instruct you to trot off back to the little kiddies' playground where such antics are tolerated. I am an adult and I rarely if ever engage in mud slinging, unless really, really provoked. I try and remain polite even in the face of heated flaming. Perhaps you should try it. It is a mark of an adult that a person can actually engage in debate rather than mud slinging like say, Valkie or IQSLOW.

As for "anonymity", there is no such thing, Neferti. There are ways to identify who you are when you make a comment on a forum. Something amateurs don't understand or refuse to understand. Everything is logged on the Internet. Everything is recorded. You leave a trail, no matter where you go. I use my real name because I grew up at a time where people were known by their real names and stood by their opinions. People who hide behind nom-de-nets are fools IMO.

There are obviously no mirrors at your place Brian. Did they take them away and give you plastic spoons?

Do point out where I have been
Racist/Xenophobic/Islamophobic/Sexist/Homophobic
with links. Thanks.

You do it all the time. FREE SPEECH is still here. If you don't agree, stop calling people names or you will get called names back. Simples.
People like to call me a "Communist" or a "Socialist" as if that is an insult. I don't find it insulting, just mistaken.
People call you those names because you act that way. You certainly do NOT come across as a Australian. Rather as a person who HATES Australia and wants it to be like the Middle East.

Have you EVER agreed with anybody on this Forum? We do have a variety of people here who do have a range of OPINIONS.

Sure, sure .... of course there are WAYS to identify those online .... The AFP have dedicated people "watching", I am sure.

However, being threatened by somebody because you Googled is a little over zealous.

IF my real name was Neferti, I presume that I could SUE the pants off him for ONLINE ABUSE. :roll

Anything of value to add to the thread or just interested in trolling, Black Orchid, Mmmm?

Run along, Black Orchid, I can hear your nursemaid calling you from the little kiddies' playground where I understand, they let you throw mud whenever you like.

Perhaps we are using a different definition of what an ad homs consists of, Black Orchid?

I have not resort to calling you any name other than describing your response to a child like persona. To me, "ad homs" consists of outright personal insults. Something I rarely engage in. Some posters here, OTOH...

Oh, and as for trolling, me, never. All my responses are made with meaning. Compare that to some of the other posters here...
