Do bad people who do bad things to others deserve mercy?

Post by mellie » Sun Mar 10, 2019 11:36 pm

I'm not talking about Gods grace, or mercy, rather am talking about our own forgiveness?

Difficult question for some.

It depends on the impact of those "bad things".

I.e you may forgive a friend for stealing off you or lying to you, but could you forgive this same friend if they fucked your partner, killed your family off, set you up, etc?

Forgiveness is gods realm.

When someone , anyone , deliberately does something they know is morally wrong.
It means tgat they have not considered the impact of that wrongdoing or have in fact considered it and disregarded it.

The thief who steals your car, knows it will both inconvenience you and cost you to repair or replace it, he/ she should be made to compensate you for that.
Not pay a worthless grubberment some pathetic fine.

When a politician passes a law, that they know will impact on the lives of people negatively, even though those people have done nothing wrong, the politicians making tgat law should be punished.

When a murderer or even an attempted murderer kills, it means tgat they have disregarded the murdered family and person.
Why should we consider the murderers side of the argument?

The grubberment takes no prisoners, if you step out of line they fine and attack your accumulated wealth with gusto.
And yet they allow thieves, murderers and other criminal free reign.

This is because the grubberment want money, this is their sole and primary aim.
To accumulate wealth at the expense of others.
Criminals add to that wealth with fines and confiscated goods.
They do not wish to stop that income.
Good people who work also contribute to the grubberments coffers as a result of crime.
They have to buy new goods, go to court, pay for security and suffer so that the grubberment can make more money from that suffering.

In an ideal society,
When a criminal commits a crime
He/she has stepped over the line
There should be zero COMPASSION for criminals, they must pay.
They must firstly compensate the people affected by that crime and then be punished for it.

But when criminals run the system, as in Australia, this does not happen.

You have summed this up well Valki, which is why I have turned to a higher order for justice.

I have faith in gods capacity to keep taking good care of us both, I don't believe anyone ever truly gets away with harming others, physically or emotionally and believe God has something very special in mind for these kinds of people.

The grubs who are installed to care for others and who abuse their positions of trust and privilege in disregarding the vulnerable and disabled are held accountable too.

Noone escapes in the end.

This lifetime is by no means the end.

It's not my own vengeance to be sort, I just need to keep reminding myself that God has it.

And he does.

But sometimes

The person needs to be fast tracked to that meeting with God.

There is no GOD! Stop fantasizing about the "Ever After" it doesn't exist.

Jesus was Jew and there aren't any "records" of what he was like as a boy. However, suddenly, he started pontificating and some of the local young Jews stood around, listening to what he had to say. Much like a "gang" only they weren't "violent", just didn't like Pontius Pilate or whomever was in charge at the time.

The story about Jesus is told by Old Men, many years after he died. It's a bit like the "family stories" that are passed down for years .... hearsay, mostly.

Believe what you want, Mellie. I was never brought up in the Roman Catholic faith .... you are brain washed as little kids ... excommunicated when your marriage doesn't work out.

However, on your death bed .... call the Priest. Once a Catholic, always a Catholic. Heaven must be chock full of lapsed Catholics. :rofl

Jesus Nef where do you come up with this stuff? :b

I was never brainwashed, was not excommunicated when I got divorced nor will I be calling a priest on my deathbed.

Nor am I "once a Catholic always a Catholic". I have my own views on spirituality and they don't follow any defined religion. Surprise surprise.
